I'm also South Manchester, near the airport Your best plan is to put a post in the 'ride out' section, but in the title try and put as information as possible such as: "South Manchester Ride out: Sunday XYZ of Month to Bala. Meet Manchester Airport pub M22 5WH 09:00" Obviously edit above for your meeting point / date / destination but avoid 'this sunday' as if you view it a day late you may think it means the forthcoming not previous Sunday
I thought I had put it in the ride out section?? Haven't really come up with any dates or meeting places yet @Alblade, the idea is to get an idea on who is in the area and is interested in getting a riding group together, then we take it from there. There's a reasonable number already shown a bit of interest so in the next few weeks I'll throw a date out there. Hope to see all those that have responded soon!
There is a bike meet on Wed 4th April at the Wellsprings pub 17.00 to 20.30. Situated on Pendle Hill 2 miles from Clitheroe. If it proves popular it will be a regular thing. Plenty of good roads round here too and only 3 miles from my house.

I’m up for this. I live in Manchester City Centre but from Yorkshire way so don’t know many people on bikes this side of the Pennines or good biking roads.

its a industrial estate over skelmarsdale, its one way , bikers meet on wed, do a few laps, then we blast over southport carousel, for something eat, good night out,
OK lad's n lasse's ......Sunday (15th April) is supposed to be good weather!! With that in mind it would great to get a ride out/meet up orgsnised! So this is going to be my first suggestion. Now I realise it won't be for everyone's liking but we need to start somewhere! Meet up at knot end near Garstang, 10.30 ish then onto to Devil's Bridge. It's a decent run and will be ok as a starting point. This isn't exactly perfect for me but most of you that have responded to this thread are North of Manchester so I'm hoping this will suit the rest of you? Let's make it happen!

Great ride out today with a couple of lads off the forum and a mate of mine. Met up in Garstang as planned, quick blast up to Knot End Cafe then onto Devil's bridge with a dinner stop on the way. @Selmer50mark took us on a cracking route around the outskirts of Lancaster on the way to Kirby Lonsdale. Great day out apart from it absolutely pissing down on the way home......soaked to my underpants!
