I have a 2009 FireBlade I’m thinking about fitting a quickshifter has anyone got any advice? What are the advantages of having a quickshifter fitted and the down sides??
Depends how much money you want to spend. You get what you paid for........ There are no downsides if you buy a proper well known Quickshifter. Most people got the - HM Quickshifter ( very good customer support ) http://hmquickshifter.com/ Other very good brands are - ProShift ( including downshift blipper, very good customer support, but expensive ) https://www.proshift.com/proshift_quickshifters - HealTech Easy https://www.healtech-electronics.com/products/iqse/ - Translogic http://www.translogicuk.com/quickshifters.php Don't go for the very cheap ones, you will regret it !
They are amazing. And the HM ones work great on the blade. From personal experience the hm plus worked faultlessly on mine. Main problems I’ve seen is usually user error and setting them up wrong. Imo they do wear the gear box tho (I’m talking racing which is obv more aggressive and harsh anyway) but for road use I wouldn’t worry. Once you try one you’ll never ride without it tho. Awesome bits of kit
I’ve just bought an HM superlite and will be fitting that soon. Will let you know the difference it makes but may be a while! Looking forward to getting to the coils to fit it, all that’s been holding me back fitting sooner!
hm plus ss , great piece of kit and had no issues with it , and loads of fun even on the road . only selling mine as the new sp has one fitted .
Has anyone used the Woolich Racing Quickshifter ? I have 2017 blade and planning to get the Akra full system + Tune and quickshifter from Woolich.. Anyone had experience with them on the blade?
