    Hi all.
Took a notion of a set of bst rims for my 16 blade. Would yous recommend? Anything to look out for?
    Cheers

I had them on my 2015 gsxr 1000 they were fantastic, every thing they say about them is true. I had them built up complete so I could swap them easily and quickly doing that takes the price up to nearly £3000 though. The guy who recently bought the bike is also blown away. Improves the bike in every dept.

I've seen a couple posts on these on fb groups I'm in. Some had a set on an R1, came down from a wheelie & the front wheel shattered. And another on a track bike, braked hard for a corner, rear wheel locked up & wheel shattered. Not good on both counts.

I have had bst’s on my Sp1 for nearly 15 years
The only bad thing about them is the increased heart rate when having tyres changed

Best mod for all round gains... period. Massively improved handling in every way. Also performance and braking! The only down side is the initial investment. But look after them and you will get a good return secondhand. I've had two pairs now and can't say anything bad about them. Oh just one thing, the early wheels used to suffer with tyres spinning on rim by a few degrees and chucking it out of balance. Only did it once on mine as the tyre fitter used way too much tyre soap. Ended up putting on virtually dry with only a small amount of soap and fixed the problem. I've also heard of other people having the same issues on early wheels. Think the later wheels have more texture to the inside of the bead to stop this.
