Well spent the last 2 hours online and the phone to, mce, confused, compare the market, go compare, Carole Nash, Adrian flux. All of which varied from base worst comprehensive cover available for 350 quid(flux) to £1333(Carole Nash) then I rang Alex at bemoto, had a casual chat running through alot of details that others didn't give a flier about! Fact my shed is alarmed and monitored and I wanted breakdown cover and leather cover etc. Tells me give him 15 mins and he'll call back, 5 minutes later he's on phone 319 quid with titanium cover including everything I wanted and more, including mods like for like. Happy as Larry great company and knew his stuff right from the off. Anyone after insurance I highly recommend give them a call.
I'm due in April. Will keep that in mind. With MCE at the moment. Haven't had claim problems like some, but did have initial frigging around on the phone.
Mce quoted 353 first then put it upto 735 then down to 515 with 1550 excess! so they pissed me off straight away. And Carole Nash varied between 1475 and 1333, was shocked at that. Bemoto only do 3 years previous claims aswell, and don't put prices up for mods apparently. Very happy with them and all the add ons for 320 quid
Spoke with them last year and even though they couldn’t be competitive (do too many miles apparently?) still found them to be really helpful, will call them again in the summer
They couldnt do anything for me...ended up with the AA! Carol Nash are a complete joke, a waste of everyones time it seems, I dont think I've encountered anyone who said that they were the best price.
Carol Nash were shocking. I couldn't believe it when it came back! Think they just pick a figure out a hat and hope you pay it
That's interesting. I have my car with AA, but hadn't even considered quoting them for my bike. Will do in April!!
What did they consider too many miles? Mine have dropped down but still doing about 8k so wondering if it's worth looking at them?!? I'm afraid I'm in the lazy can't be arsed to look around camp, so been with mce for several years now, but really need to check some others out!
Wow just seen the prices you guys have paid. Just insured today with Bennetts. Last year they wanted £354 so went with £211 from MCE as Bennetts wouldn't compete. This year Bennets came in at £104? So I added the premiums like breakdown and helmet cover for 40 quid. I guess it could be a postcode thing. I'm SO53. I know @raphael commutes with high mileage so they must hump you for that? Bennetts small print does include quite a few mods too.
I wanted to insure it for 12k + Lozzy>he said it would be easier to buy a more adventure type bike and insure the blade as a second bike as they dont have any higher mileage sports bikes on there book's
always good when it goes down andy! i couldn't find one company last year who quoted cheaper without a higher excess, they all mentioned the accident i had even though a non fault claim.
Ive been with Bennetts for the last 3 years. But each time I've got the price at least 30% cheaper than the renewal quote price. It feels stupid telling Bennetts I'm not renewing my insurance quote with them because I've had a better quote from themselves on a comparison site!
I had a Thundercat before my Blade. I added the blade to my £98 policy for £30 for 9 months. Then got quoted the £300 odd quid. I was quite shocked. Multi bike was better so was thinking of keeping the Thundercat in the garage SORN but insured. Not sure if that possible. Any way got 500 quid for the Thunderpussy as @sps170373 called it. Hence the big bang bike now.
My insurance went through the roof with my blade. The r6 I had before it was 76 quid a year! Last year (first on a thou) was 550, so 319 I'm happy with. Only 32 with 5 years man so going it drops a bit over next few years as the bike gets older. I Only do 2-3k miles a year tho

Got to agree with CBRGav, Have just insured with Bemoto , Alex certainly new his stuff & although not the cheapest the level of cover I received was the highest, Give them a call when it's renewal time.
