Does anyone know if there is a switched 12V feed easily accessible on the RR7 Blade? The bike came with heated grips but they are wired straight to the battery so its vulnerable to someone turning them on when its parked and flattening the battery. Cheers
I've always used something like this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_...gyback+fuse.TRS0&_nkw=piggyback+fuse&_sacat=0 Any circuit that only work with ignition on will be fine, although I always use one that is equal or higher amp than the item I'm fitting. You could also loop a feed off the headlight, the one that come's on with ignition. Less routing of cables.
They're pretty good if you can get the cover back on, but make sure it's in the right way around as you want the supply to go through the fuse first. I usually just tap in to the headlight or side light as they're always on with the ignition.
A very similar thread to this on the MV Forum, where a guy wants to independently switch on his fans. Without hijacking ledwardio's thread, has anyone done that with the Blade? (Might be more of an advantage in warmer climate)
