    Hey guys,

I've just seen a couple of videos on youtube etc. and basically found out
that all you need for this conversion is to have the full kit (incl. headlights, ram tubes etc.) from 12+ model

From what the bloke was saying you don't need anything else to make this work, can anyone confirm?

Sorry if it's been posted before!

I'll be looking into it and will document the process if I go through with it:)

Wheels went from 3-spoke to 12-spoke also.

The frames are the same, but you'd want to be satisfied the fairing mounting points are the same.

In the final analysis, it will still be an 08-11 bike and worth no more.

Thanks Nigel, it's not really about making it worth more, I don't assume I'll be selling it anytime soon, I just really like the 12+ front better, Might make it a long term project :)

Sorry but you'll just end up with a mongrel wannabe
Not worth the effort or cost in my opinion
    Been there, done that.

In order to get it complety like a 2012, you will need: New fairings, new ram air tubes, new ram air covers, new headlight, new windscreen. And if you want the complete look, new dash, forks and 12 spoke wheels.

I have 2013 engine and 2013 SP wheels, and 2012 complete tail (with undertail, new tailtidy etc) on my 08. Did not bother with any more than that. Engine i had to change, wheels / tail i wanted to change.

I would just buy a 2012 mate, honestly. The forks and shock are miles ahead of the 08-11

I recently changed the rear shock on my 2010 for a 2014 one, bought 100€ with few miles on it. It is supposed to be way better to the 2008 rear shock, because it uses the same technology as Ohlins TTX.

I changed the dashboard for a 2012+ one I had the chance to find with only 500 kilometers less than mine. And, actually, it is great, because the previous owner did few kilometers with -1 front sprocket without speadohealer... So I can basically say that this dashboard shows the exact mileage of the bike ;) BUT I had the chance to find it at 140€ only! It uses to be way more expensive... I use to see them at around 400-500€...!

if you want to change the fork and the fairings, it will cost a lot of money... probably more than 1500£ just for these two pieces. Not sure it is smarter than selling the bike and then buying a 2012+.
I know you can buy a complete fairing conversion pack (with headlight, windscreen etc) in USA for 700$

I was mostly just looking into it as I might snap a bit here and a bit there in auctions to convert the front, that's the only thing cosmetically that I really prefer on the 12+. Tail maybe but doesn't bother me much.

Odium-fr any modifications when it comes to the shock? Or just in-out-done? That sounds like a very interesting upgrade..

Although as many say, might be easier to just buy the 12+ bike haha

You just need to change the rear hugger for a 2012+, because the cartridge of the shock is bigger. Otherwise it's plug and play, it's the same chassis ;)

Apollo... yeah the rear shock a very good upgrade. In and out swap. But as above you need the 12+ hugger which from honda only max £15 for the standard short one. Or if you got aftermarket some have bigger gap anyway for the shock res or you can cut tiny section out. Or just make sure aftermarket one listed for 12+
If you want the front changing.. yeah will need front fairing, screen, belly pan, side panels, air ducts and rubber/frame piece, air duct covers and rad inner fairings, nose under panel. Some of these trim pieces pretty good price from honda infact cheaper than some on ebay and obviously brand new
Have some Chinese side panels and belly pan for 12+ and some oem inner trim panels and air duct for reasonable price (Chinese side panels black 12+ and belly pan for £65 posted) Was only keeping for spares as i dont like chinese stuff ideally

I will have a 12+ big piston shock for sale soon aswell

Here’s my conversion from 18 months back
    Mine was a 08 model
    Genuine second hand fairings
Did have 12 wheels but sold them separate (to help get some costs back)
12 shock / rear sub frames / forks are in abundance second hand.
    Sold this looker dead easy

Here is my 2009. Not the latest as I have replaced the exhaust with a Factory Akrapovic exhaust.

I went for the HM Dash too. The engine case changed on 12+ for the neutral switch so mega expensive to convert

I have all what is necessary for this change. I have 2014 SP which I am changing in race bike and I am selling everything. Fairings are from china but more expensive type, just fitted with 500 km use. I am selling every little part because I will not be using it any more. Price is 1000 euro for all (not sure if is it ok to post it like this?), which is pretty cheap. So driver seat, mirrors, turn signals, plate holder, air ducts, etc...included.
