Hi all, I've just joined this forum as I have just moved up from my previous ride (CBR600F- ABS 2011), which I have had since passing my DAS in 2014....to a new 2017 Blade. are there any members in and around the midlands??
Hi Patrick, and welcome. Congrats on the 2017. Great bike, by all accounts - especially in matte black! I'm West Midlands near Stratford.
Hi Patrick. ......welcome ......Manchester based here! Looks Like Nigel is the closest your gonna get to a new riding buddy. ..........as long as your not over 30 miles away from him. He gets a nose bleed outside of his comfort zone 30 mile loop!
Patrick might not be up with the Forum 'jesting', but I will say that I might have to exceed my 30-mile loop soon to put a bit of blue tinge to my soon-to-be-fitted Racefit exhaust!
HAHAHA....Nice one, Well mine's going back in to Honda for her first service (600mls) and a bit of an upgrade. Gonna mention Bob Minion (Derby) who i brought the bike from......highly recommend them as they are a family run business with mechanics who know their way around a bike! was thinking of doing a ride out on the bank holiday Monday if people were up for it....hadn't decided where but thought that if people wanted to come we could vote on it!!
600 miles already? Ah, you must actually ride yours. Mine's booked in for June 7th. So spill it about the 'upgrade'. Anything we can copy?
I don't think I could warrant such a machine to sit in my garage and not use it, though I don't plan to do as many miles as I did n my CBR600 which was 9000 per year....plus the only way to get used to such a machine is to ride it so when I get the chance I plan to ride it like I stole it!!...ROFL!!!! As for the upgrading I got this in mind! Quickshifter Honda Rear Hugger Offset Rear Cotton Reels Tail Tidy ASV levers Crash protectors
Good to hear Derby and Bob Mininions being mentioned on the forum . Footnote... I believe lozzy is around the Derbyshire area.
Hi Old_boy65, I give credit where credit is due and so far all at Bob Minion have not put a foot wrong with me....(unlike some other dealership that I wont be mentioning!). Just done a pre advanced bike test today on the blade......LOL.... its so so hard keeping my right hand from twisting the throttle on her as she just wants to pull.
Hiya Karl... Sounds like you had the same idea as I did...The CBr600FA- is a great bike to start off on and I'm glad we both stuck to Honda rather than going to another brand We will have to meet up for a blast sometime!
