    Hi,

I hope you all are doing well.

Not sure where to post this thread.
Anyway, I have couple of questions since I´m still waiting on my new bike Fireblade 2018.

I do not believe that the Fireblade 2018 comes standard with braided brake lines, but i would love to get this confirmed. anyone?

Sice I´m pretty sure that the new Fireblade is delivered with rubber lines my next question is....

Braided brake lines from are they good or bad?
    any experience?

    Thanks in advance!

    Cheers.

    Hi there.

I have a 2018 Blade SP2 which doesn't have braided so the standard model; certainly won't. For me they're fine for a road user. I'd say see what you reckon before upgrading. Certainly while the lines are new you'll experience no probs. Track riders would advise different because of the heat build-up and constant use.

I have HEL braided lines on my 2011 - more for the 'bling factor' than performance. I notice no difference in normal road use between standard rubber and braided.

No, I haven't used Goodridge, but also haven't heard anything bad. You'll prob get further advice during the evening once all the 'workers' arrive home!!:)

I guess you're aware that bleeding ABS is a lengthy process. That raises another point: check with Honda about whether you'll void warranty by putting on aftermarket lines.

What colour bike have you ordered?

    Hi,

    Thanks again nigelrb.

In Sweden only the matte black one is available.

Install/bleeding wont be a prob but thanks anyway for the heads up:)

    Cheers

I have always used Hel lines always worked well but have never noticed any improvement without changing the master cylinder at the same time.
