Does anyone know what the db (measured) on the new blade is? Both static and drive-by?
I have heard that some of these have failed noise tests at track days, Ron Haslam has actually fitted after market exhausts to make the bike quieter.
Some juornos also claim to have been thrown off track days.
Has anyone here experienced any problems so far?
Does anyone know which tracks it will fail at?

Had mine tested at Snetterton twice and Cadwell 96db static and no issues on drive by
I think the fails have been very few and far between

I also have a 2018. I don't track it (cos I'm a crap rider:)) but it does sound great over 3,500 once the flapper opens. I guess I could understand a few environmentalists not being too happy.

Too bad for them. There are much more important things to be concerned about - seagulls pinching chips from beach-goers at St Ives for one!

    Hi there,

I have had two trackdays with my new Fireblade here in Sweden. I have not measured the noise but I haven´t been thrown off the track either and the limit here in Sweden is 95db:)

Makes sense to me. In the land of Volvos and Saabs, you wouldn't be used to much noise.:D

As I posted on another thread, I was black flagged at Bedford autodrome, although this has an 87.5 db drive-by limit. I think I set it off at 102, this was WOT in 2nd gear
