Mine’s still in my garage - being bought by a plumber and part of the payment is a new boiler and cylinder, so once that’s sorted and I’ve got the balance then it’ll be off.

Thinking of changing the fairings though, can anyone recommend a decent aftermarket supplier?

 

Does anyone know how to check what year the engine is by the engine number?

 

There is a long-standing thread in another Fireblade forum, but the information is so convoluted and seemingly contradictory.

Even I, known to be one of very high intellectual capacity, cannot figure it out. If you can, please make it simple!

Contacted David Silver to run a check. Only wondering 'cos when I got the new V5 back it said engine number not known.

Got a reply from David Silver, all checks out as RR5 so well happy. Just need to inform DVLA of engine number.
