hi there new to the forum having just bought an 09 hrc fireblade. Absolutely love the new bike but and this is a little bit of a concern given what I've read so far tonight, I'm thinking I may have the crank issue so would really appreciate some info if possible? Welcome mate, My knowledge is not that vast to be honest but if I’m not mistaken the crank issue will be more of a whine? What your discribing sounds more like a cam chain tensioner? Do a search mate as both have been covered a fair bit by a lot more knowledgable people including how to diagnose both.

Hi and welcome along! Lovely bike you have there, same year and colour scheme as mine although I have a spare set of fairings on the bike at present. Hope you sort the issue, like most of the others I'm also mechanically challenged and not suffered the problem you're having. If only there were someone who could answer all these questions people don't know the answers too......someone who knows absolutely everything about everything. Ahh it would be like finding the end of a rainbow......or a mythical creature of some kind
That's an American thing. This side of the pond we don't feel the need to write a gushing missive about all the wonderful things the family and near relations have done in the past 12 months and inflict it on every recipient of a Christmas card.
