Yep, S21s rate well with many and in the mix with the good Michelins, Metzlers and Pirellis.

Blades always look good with no rear pegs. Also look good with clean rear wheel.:D

I disagree. I put my rear pegs back on. In my opinion, my blade now looks more “meaty.”

It's funny with tyres. I've never out riden a tyre beyond its ability . Not sure I e even come close. But for me it's about conference in the tyre. I've riden bikes where I've been scared stupid about corners due to the feel of the tyre on the road. Others have inspired confidence. My biggest surprise was fitting a pair to a cbr600 steally. Awesome ...best handling bike I'd ridden at the time..and with those tyres...wow. fantastic... I then fitted a pair to my zx9r. . Scary. I all most got off and pushed it around corners ..

Totally agree. I've often been out on a ride and in testing times decided to pull over and have a bit of a 'conference' with my tyres also. Get little verbal feedback of course, but it does allow me to let out some hot air:D:D!

Maybe the suspension needed to be adjusted on zx9r.

Funnily enough - I had some Bridgestones that were great tyres, but I did not bond with them emotionally

You see, after a summer ride, I get off the bike and have a walk round the bike - checking chicken strips and feeling the warm rubber tyres, and squishing the tread to see how nice and soft it is.

You see, these particular Bridgestones did not seem any warmer or squidgier after having given it a good thrashing !!

OK, they did not let me down in any way whatsoever - but, damn it, after a good thrashing I expect the tyres to be warmer and squidgier than before I set off !! - and if not I don't want them - there is no sense of achievement in tyres that refuse to get warmer and squidgier.

In fact, this is the reason for not buying them again - I kid you not ! :D

I had Bridgestones once on my blade and I hated them. I couldn't wait for them to wear out.
