Hi guys what should I do about a faulty o2 sensor it's coming up as fault 23 any ideas would be good the bike has a different exsaust on and a qs and a kand n air and oil filter apart form that standered bike
You can buy an o2 bypass off eBay for like £10, unplug the sensor and plug a bypass in and that will do away with it?
is the O2 is fitted to the current exhaust and has gone faulty?If so, I would buy a new one. If it is a new exhaust and no fitting for O2 then an eliminator as suggested and hope the fueling & the power delivery are not noticeably different
Yes it is fitted to the new one and yes I think it's gone faulty bonjour it's flashing up as an error code but never had problems in the past till now exsaust has been on for over a year now
I have not had to dwelve into fault code on my RR8 (touch wood!). O2 do go faulty but normally on cars where the heater goes open circuit. I don't think the bike one is heated. Nevertheless if you have established that's where the fault is, you should be able to get a replacement Denso which is most probably the OEM one. With O2, it can sometimes clear itself if you had something bad in the exhaust gases (silicon I believe is an O2 killer) but the fault code would remain. If you can clear the fault code and it re-appears again then you would be more certain. I am saying all this base on my experience with my car O2 sensores (2 replaced over 70000miles ) You could test the existing one. It involves giving volts & heat and measuring it's output. Find the details on this on the internet
Ok bonjo nice one fella it's getting looked at today so I will know by dinner time what's going on I will let you know what happens with it later on and what remeydey I have taken with it
Alright bonjo well the sensor has been taken off and blanked off the bike seems like it's running well I think it's running a bit better honda told me it would cost around £100 for a new one and they never had any in stock fortunately I had already got a blanking plug and insert for the exsaust so it's not been a problem when I get the ECU remapped I think it will be good and make a big difference. The sensor it self had a broken wire on it down where it threads into the exsaust I might have a go at fixing it see if I can

Hi John, Which model blade do you have? Do you mind me asking how you know it's a oxygen sensor problem? I am asking because I just bought a 2012 blade and when i switch the bike on, i get 2 long flashes followed by 3 short flashes. it does this a few times then the light stays constantly on while i ride. Is this the code for a oxygen sensor error? I have a Yoshi exhaust should I just ditch the sensor and replace with an eliminator? Anyone know if there are any negatives doing this? Not sure if its related but the light appeared after using ACF-50 a few weeks ago.
Hi I have an 09 blade flakey I found out about the sensor online can't remember what site but it listed all the codes and flashes next to the problem also when I spoke to honda they confirmed two flashes and three short was an faulty sensor one of the wires was broken when I replaced the exsaust I was too rough and never turned the wires with it when I put it back on so got the plug taken off and a cap put on where the sensor went sum say u should get it checked on Dyno but it ain't affected mine but if u getting it mapped it would get checked at that point anyway which I hope to do sum time when the funds allow it probs just get the ECU mapped for mine . If u have had the exsaust on and off it have broke one of the wires honda recon about £100 for a new one that's why I just took mine off and got it blanked hope that's a bit of help for ya pal
Thanks buddy, I'll keep looking for the error codes online but its looking like the sensor. The codes will be useful to have anyway. I think i'll get the eliminator and see how it goes, much cheaper than a replacement sensor.
