Hi I have taken the decision to sell my beloved blade, due to a second child on the way. Just wondered how much you would put the bike up for? It's immaculate and has been serviced every year and cleaned and polished every ride out. Runs perfectly and tyres, breaks etc are all great. I have got all the original parts to put the bike to totally standard too. 20,000 miles its done and has mot until next august. Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated Many thanks Karl
If you can be bothered I would suggest taking the exhaust off and replacing with standard, do the same with your rear sets and sell both of these separably. Once these are off then look to sell. As a guide I bought a 2004 blade in 2015 with 14000 miles very clean example, part series history which was advertised for £3800. I called the guy up and i planned on asking for 100-200 quid off and before i could he said the least he will take is £3000. Needless to say i bought it the next day. Your bike is either an 04-05 so I would expect you to fetch around the 3000-3500 mark selling private. Hope that helps.
Well as a marker, I just sold my spotlessly-clean 2004 blade on an eBay auction with a little less than 18,000 miles on. Yoshi exhaust and lots of other aftermarket odds and sods and it sold for £ 2,750.00. I'd be quite surprised if you'd get much more than that for it. Especially at this time of year.
Thanks for the replys, I think I'll go down the route of removing the extras, Least it has gave me some first hand advice Thank you
Took the bike out the shed gave it a nice wax, cleaned and lubed the chain, looked at it a few moments and realised I can't bring myself to advertise it. Lol she's doing no harm in the shed so she's staying.
Thanks pal, She really is, it would be hard to find another bike like it with the price it get for her!!
I was just about to say .......Never ever sell a bike because you have a child on the way. We all need our hobbies and interests as this defines us!! I hope to have more bikes than kids one day I am however losing that battle at the moment!
I have to agree with Paul on this. Bikes of this age just don't depreciate any more when looked after, which is why I have no plans to sell either of my Blades. I plan to take mine to the grave with me, I just haven't decided on which one
As I've previously posted, Lorena Bobbit executed the 'remedy' back in 1993. Perhaps she now rides a 'bobber' with a Lorenzo helmet sprouting horns atop the '99'. If this were the case, there would be pure compatibility with @PauloHRC . The resulting date would see them singing a duet:
