    Evening!

    Did a search and couldn't find anything about this.. Seat humps colours.

    Luvving my new RR7 HRC. had a good look in sunlight and can now see the seat hump is black not the deep pearlescent blue of the HRC scheme. It seems genuine (Honda part number on the underneath) so I'm wondering if these would been supplied from brand new or if a previous owner would have had to buy one and picked up the next best thing.

    A mate has an RR7 Repsol and his is the right blue with orange grills and branding decal.

    Was/is there a proper blue one with white grills ever around?

    I purchased a second hand one some months back (through this forum as I recall) in the Repsol Blue - which as you say is nearly black. It was the genuine article with the Honda stamping moulded underneath. Not sure if they are still available; Fowlers (one of the major suppliers) certainly don't have them.

    Ironically, I didn't want the Repsol Blue, I wanted Pearlescant White which was also unavailable as OEM. I have since had the blue sprayed white to match my 2004 tri-colour.

    I good auto paint shop that has a 'spectrograph' (a camera that scans the required colour and matches it through computerised paint codes) will have your cowl looking spot-on, but it will cost you about 70 quid for the service. If you were to somehow find a new cover, you'd probably be in the 140 quid region. The grills (or mesh as it is known) I thought was a gold colour on that particular version, but I could be wrong.

    Got to say that’s a cracking looking bike @Selmer50mark - whenever you post a pic I’m more than impressed at its condition and that has to be the best colour scheme the blade (of any year) has worn..........IMHO that is

    Yep. I think I said as much in another thread! I've even been looking at Chinese fairings to change mine, but alas, none seem to replicate it:(.

    Sorry to disappoint, guys.

    Two factors: First, there's the old 'three's a crowd' and second: I don't want either of you to suffer @Lozzy 's jealous rage because of my participation.:)

    @Selmer50mark and @ShoboGatana

    Sorry to butt in here but there is generally a problem deciphering these codes on Hondas.

    The colour NH341P I recognised straight away because it is 'Fadeless White' I use on my VF1000R. Honda has this peculiar habit of listing the MAIN colour and then the 'CODE' represents the livery 'scheme'. The problem is that no specific colour code is given for the red or the dark blue. It might pay to get that info from a dealer, or refer my earlier post (No 2 re spectrograph) so a panel shop can do the job.

    The blue I am fairly sure is a two-pack Plus it has a clear coat on top, therefore if you're buying paint yourself it's going to cost you!!;)

    If you give Shobo the part number the guy'll be laughing - if it's available. I know one was (from my dealer) when I wanted a Pearl White, but about 90-plus quid!
