Hi everebody, There was some suggestion that I present this little project to people here. I welcome idea, here we can exchange experiences and ideas. So, I took HONDA CBR 1000 RR SP 2014, dismantled oem fairing and started.
After removing oem fairing, I took ECU serial number and sent it to some specialist in order to check what kind of tunning they can offer me. There is some option with race package with pit limiter and launch control, but I am still waiting for other infos.
OEM air ducts removed and waiting for ones made from poly. I could go for carbon ones but prefer to save some money for other parts. Original front brake removed, installed 19 " pump, there was need to readjust brake fluid reservoir handle.
That's what this thread is for! Alen will keep us in suspense! All will be revealed. The truth is out there.
I plan to install ohlins cartridges, I have one guy here on forum selling them to me (second hand). I have ttx shock, full akrapovic exhaust, bmc racing filter. I have ordered HRC quick throtle, racing fairings which I plan to paint in tt legends endurance 2014 colours, double buble screen is ready. I am searching for adjustable rearsets... I am in talk with few tunners awaiting to decide which way I will go. In a future I plan to put some racing front rotors. Since I am a sailorman (not Popay ), I will be able to participiate in only half of croatian championship races and one or two from Alpe Adria championship, taking part of superstock 1000 class.
Hi guys, Quick action throtle hrc finnaly came so I have installed it few moments ago...I need to put all back still... And there are new dominos on... There was no problem to use original cables.
Hi guys, here is some small work I've done today, still waiting for fairings to come and some other stuff... I've bought some aluminium grills (sorry for my grammar) and made cooler protection. Secure it with some straps and wire. It fits just fine, did not wanted to paint them black because they will soon loose colour from all small stones that will hit them. I have also secured grips with wire.
That's a nice looking finish on them. Are they UK made or imported? And what price - just for interest if you don't mind revealing.
Hi, I am from Croatia and fairings are from Italy. I paid them 415 euros, they came with holes drilled and screws for connection. Price for only fairings is 330 euros and air ducts cost 85 euros. You can by one made from carbon but price is much higher.
Excellent build thread, @Alen I'm looking forward to seeing the finished bike! Are you a merchant marine or Croatian Navy?
Where are the oem öhlins fork? and if i can suggest , take out the abs rings , less weight better design
