Hi all, just signed up to this forum although have lurked for a little while. Am based in Southampton and looking to upgrade to a ‘14-‘16 Blade from my MT09. Looking forward to contribute to the forum and finally make the swap - it’s been on my list of things to do for the past couple of years but has always seemed to get bumped down - not any more!! Hi and welcome. What’s made you want to move to a blade? I rode an xsr900 last year, fun bike and the same engine as your mt09. I’m only an hour up the coast!
Thanks for the warm welcome! Guessing you must be either Brighton or Weymouth direction? Both are about an hour from here. Think a blade has always been the intention - I came to biking relatively late at 35 and didn’t want to go sports bike from the off, so now approaching 40 is the time to do it! Wanted a blade specifically due to the looks, reliability and because it had a good amount of power without hitting the 200bhp levels of recent. I also rode an xsr900 when buying the MT09 - they are both great bikes and same engine as you say. I might end up keeping the MT lol!
Hi Stripey, Not long joined myself, not sure if they still have it or not but I PX’d my 2014 HRC coloured bike to Craig’s Honda late December and that bike was like new, nearly new tyres on it it and completely unmarked! Part of me wishes i’d kept it! Found Craig’s Honda really easy to deal with and they delivered to my door, all in all a really hassle free purchase and fair price. Cheers Lee

Ah man, you’ve got to see mine then.... it’s a 13 plate anniversary in black for £6.2k. And yes i’m just outside of brighton.
