    Hi.
Can anyone offer some insight into hoe to remove the transponder from the HISS key. I am replacing the Lock-Set due to some scrotum trying to steal my blade and obliterating the ignition lock (among other things). I was hoping to remove the transponders from the current key and putting them into the new keys for the new lock set. Are they located in inside the plastic under the Honda logo or elsewhere?

    Thanks

My mate got a new key cut and just kept the original top part taped to the new key.

Thanks for the replies guys. Should have mentioned the key is the new blade shaped key (for the 2013 - 2016 models).. i may end up just hacking the hell out of one of these keys to find where it is.

Hi Guys... Finally got to the bottom of my own question by hacking the hell out of the key i have... I can now report the transponder chip is slap-bang in the middle of the black plastic - not easy to get to. Answered my own question but hopefully useful info to others too.

    Thanks 20190201_182514.jpg
