New Arai

Arrived today. Come on!

 

Very very nice ....class lid that....looking at the Maverick rep ....I like shoei as well and they fit me just as well but don't like any of there paint schemes...,that's a good choice there timeless...

 

Helmet City £499, a big saving. I don't like the current Shoei colour schemes.

 

Good deal....cheapest one I found in the new Maverick was 538 most were 730...enjoy can't beat a new Arai..

 

Huh? It's not gold!!

 

I could not find a gold one anywhere. Plus a gold helmet would probably look uncool!

 

MM93 had a gold Shoei.
Another pic will be required when you've fitted the black visor.
You have to remove the side pods with this model of Arai to change the visor. I'd only just got used to changing the old Arai visor.

 

Very nice that and will look even better with a black visor!

Bl00dy hurts my thumbs popping those side pods off (aww diddums...lol - first world problems, I get it, but still...it hurts)

 

You’re supposed to use the visor buttons to pop the side pods off. I read the instructions.

Use the oil that came with the lid, couple of drops and makes em move easy

 

Done that. Getting those side thing off is easy. Putting them back on was difficult the first time.

 

I have put the plastic insert in. But it seem slightly misty. Should I remove it and reclean the visor and plastic insert again?
My Shoei one is much clearer. It might have been finger print type stuff on the visa.
What do you clean it with? Thanks. The Great Guy.

I've just bought a new Arai - I can change the Visor quicker on my old Arai!

 

I'm not sure the pin lock visor is cleanable.
