Hi All, I've been restoring a couple of 1992 Fireblades (the original RRN model, one black and one white) and have pretty much finished the black one. Thought you might like to see a pic of it!

Cheers Guys, I was lucky enough to buy a couple of old blades from a guy that had bought a stack of new parts about 4 years ago for them (and i mean a load!). The bikes themselves were flawed (long story but it involves frames from the wrong model!) but I'm using all of his parts plus a load that i've built up myself to complete these bikes.

    This one has ......
    New Forks
    New Top / Bottom Yokes
    Re-painted wheels
All new bodywork (all original Honda including the Tank!!) - some of these are no longer available but these were bought when they were still around)
New radiator plus fan and motor
New Seats / Mirrors / Trim Panels / headlights / tail light / lock set

Plus a load more that i can't remember at the moment!

With the exception of the main frame and engine, pretty much everything else has been replaced or reconditioned so you could say that it's a nearly new bike!

I've got pretty much the same quantity of stuff to fit to my white bike (plus a NOS swingarm :)) so i need to get working on this. The white one is currently stripped down waiting for the front forks and rear swingarm to be fitted.

Getting very hard to find certain parts now. The original exhausts, some body panels and odd chassi parts like the forks and rear shocks are no longer available and the stocks of odd new old stock parts held by dealers are getting very thin on the ground. I was lucky to strike a gold mine of bits because otherwise i would have struggled.

You must be very pleased with the outcome, the bike looks really great.. I love the shape of this model, it looks to me just how a Blade should look. Great to see one looking so nice.

Thanks for the comments guys, makes the effort worthwhile. I'll post another pic of it when it's fully completed. In the meantime, it's been collected today to be used for a 'Blade extravangaza' Honda are putting on at next weeks MCN show at Excel London.
