Slipper clutch advice please

I have just purchased an 2005 CBR1000RR and have noticed hardly any engine braking on changing down in gears especially quick shifts.
Following some internet reading I think I may have a slipper clutch fitted, I have never heard of this type of clutch before,
Please can anyone tell me how to confirm this type of clutch is fitted without taking it apart, is there any tests I can do to properly confirm it

Yep, ride a long straight road and drop it down a couple of gears at speed. If the back wheel doesn't lock up and the revs don't go off the chart then you have a slipper clutch.
Failing that you could always look through the oil filler hole.

slipper clutch limits the engine braking you send to the rear wheel when decelerating. This is to avoid locking up the rear when braking or chainging down.
I was under the impression slipper clutch were introduced on RR8 so your may not have it. Just go easy on your testing!
