has anyone used this for the rear brake and if so what size did you get? doing a search seems to be split between 8mm/10mm, any help would be much appreciated cheers
If its for a reservoir delete I think its 8mm could be wrong though. At least with the smaller diameter you can stretch, rather it was tight. A mate did this with the HRC kit a while back and replaced with Tygon can't remember why though?
That's right, he was sporting some Blue ATE fluid and he couldn't see the levels after a few weeks. Do you have the end cap and all the other fixing already?
No I don’t yet, that’s another reason I’m doing it, all the standard fixings have rusted and getting on my nerves lol I’ve heard good things about the blue racing fluid, am tempted to give it a go?
I used to use it too in the vain attempt it might sort out my ABS woes ( which is didn't) I used to alternate it with the same ATE fluid but without the dye as it helped indicate when the old stuff was flushed out during a full bleed. I not sure it is available now, I might be mistaken but the colour may cause a fail in the MOT.
I did read something about that but thought it was more for the USA? it’s still available from ecp so might give it a go
Spoke to Hel at bike show last year. They use 2375 (which is actually food grade) as doesn't discolour or go brittle. If that's of any help.
Great tip, Conor. I'll keep that in mind for when I'm in my final days and being fed intravenously, I shall be able to watch the undistorted colour of my bangers and mash and sticky date pudding sliding down 2375 tubing. Ah, the things we aged have to look forward to. That's what 'm talkin' about!!
