Before & after!! The white and black fairings were on it when I first bought it but the chap still had the original black ones which I got too, after I cleaned them up I switched back to the original black style!
I do like the 'Urban Zebra' look, but I think designers could have done a better job with the graphics placement. Certainly looks more of a sports bike in all black, especially with the reduced drag 'delete number plate' option. Just for interest, how long did the changeover take you?
The original blaxk/white was what attracted me to it initially as it was a bit different, sadly those fairings were the chinese ones so on closer inspection and after a bit of use I realised how flimsy and ill fitting they were, hence why I went back to the original honda black ones. Had to sand back and respray the black panels before I put them on as there were a few dings and scrapes I wanted to tidy up, but the changeover itself never took too long, maybe 2-3 hours in total but I was basically learning how to get it all apart and deep cleaning underneath as I went.
Cheers, good time frame. I am trying to establish if there's much difference between 04 - 07 and 08 - 11 fairing changeovers. To me, it seems as if the job gets more difficult and time consuming with each new model!
Theres an RR5 near me that was originally in Repslow colours and last year the guy must have either spent money and had it painted or bought Chinky fairings in the White/Grey/Black Repslow design and it looks stunning.
Before and after pics. New fairings courtesy of Auctmarts. Fitting is totally spot on and finish is amazing.
