I have decided.Having just returned from my Begium trip with the blade; a wiser option for me wolud be the VFR800. The blade was faultless on the trip, but my lower back is now killing me ( age thing ) , plus the luggage situation was crazy, rucksack etc. This time next year I will purchase a VFR800 with Honda panniers. Brand new in red.
Funny you should say that - I had one of them when they first came out - one of the first in the UK ! Went all over the place with heaps of luggage on it !!. It is more comfortable, great fuel range - 21 litre tank I think it was. Really nice bike. The exhaust was a bit quiet, but I think they changed that. It is quite a bit slower than the CBR. You can set up a CBR to carry quite a lot of luggage, but if the riding position is giving you trouble, then it cannot be done. Beautifully made bike, can carry quite a lot of luggage - mine with the full camping gear !
I agree with Mattie, GG. Many guys (both great and ordinary) rave about the dual personality and practicality of the VFR. Bullet proof motor and will offer those few extra degrees of comfort you might require. Check the motor shows later this year (I think NEC Birmingham is the first, in November) and you might see a 2020 model or at least any updates for the following year.
Had one as well. Stick on a delkevic end can and hear that V4 roar. Quickshifter makes it good fun to
I have loads of pictures !! but on this computer I have a few..... This one was taken north Devon/Cornwall - Exmoor This one was taken in the underground car park. Standing there admiring it for so long that the motion sensitive lights went out leaving it illuminated by a single lamp - (enhanced a bit in post, but that was what it essentially looked like)
