If its of any interest to you now, the cat is right before the connector for the up pipe to the back box. Remove the exhaust and pipe and you can see the cat!! Its not that hard to remove it with a screwdriver and hammer, thats how i did mine. Give it a run quickly without refitting anything and the bits that fell into the exhaust will come flying out!! Incidentally, with a custom map, akro exhaust and decat, mine made 155 at the wheel on the dyno.
I have just started reading this thread and could not believe what I was reading My 1998 vtr has 106bhp And I had the blade done last week at 170bhp and I was happy with that
All's well that ends well - bike is plenty quick enough now! Still want to get it back on the original dyno for a comparison though and see how far it's actually come.
