Isit priced correctly ? No interest atall been 2 weeks https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/123810110806
It’s one of them where the age will put some off and for that money (or not much more) they can get one that’s younger. You just need the right buyer to come and view it.
If it were me, I'd put the OEM fairing back on and the original exhaust, at least for the pictures. Older bikes could be a difficult sell with someone elses custom bits...which apparently is the case with yours.
I've been at the Triumph factory. I think £5000 is fair enough, or £5300 with both sets of fairings. It's a 12,000 miler which is in its favour. I agree though that it would stand a far better chance of selling with the OEM fairings. Another factor is that the main 'buying' season is over, and people who purchase now are either looking for true bargains, or a very particular bike - i.e. special or collector. Remember, there is a lot of competition on eBay and Motorcycle Trader. some bikes will take ages to sell; other on the first day. Many have faced a similar situation, but the bike did sell eventually. There was a member with an Lowes Samsung replica that took ages and maybe @Stuish was trying to sell one? I reckon just hang in there.
2008 were also know for burning oil so not the most wanted? Maybe have a look at the wording in your add? Big bold letters stating I WILL NOT TAKE LESS would make me just look at the next one on the list. Always find an ono price will get the phone ringing and go from there.
Non Gen Fairings, too many bits messed about with and £5k and will not take less... i wouldnt even open the pics Needs to look as original as poss given it is low mileage, sell what you can separate, better close up pics showing how clean it is and £4500 As said bike buying season is almost over. Im looking for a bike to track but some prices are just unrealistic at mo, added to that £5k loan £99/mth, brand new blade on a pcp with warranty etc £118/mth... its a tough market at mo
Sorry to say but I think you're being a bit hopeful there. There may be plenty on ebay with people trying to sell them for whatever price but my guess is they'll sit there too. If you've had no interest it's a sure-fire sign you're asking too much for it. If you search ebay by completed listings it's a different story.
Put the OEM fairings back on as already said along with the can. The Matte Black is not to every ones taste, it does nothing for me tbh and the can will also be too loud for many. I would also remove those engine covers also as some may think you are trying to hide something. I would then sell the fairings, exhaust and covers separately and not mention them on the listing. Take some nicer images of the bike once the above has been done and add some of the Honda folder assuming it came with one and show the service history pages. I would then change the price to £4950.00 and also add a best offer price. I personally would be happy if I got £4.5k for the bike Just my two pennies worth!
What do the dealers/webuyanybike offer? We know they will low ball but if the are offering £4k ish you could probably hold out for £4.5k to £4.75k from a private buyer. If they only only £3k to £3.5k then you would need to adjust your price point. Not saying it isn't worth what you want but the cruel reality is it is only worth what someone is willing to pay. Dealer gave me nearly £4k for my rr7 with Chinese fairings, but also had Brembo front calipers and an Akra system.
Webuy any shit would offer £3k !! I may put white fairing back on with original end can , and engine casings off , But id still want £5k for it , the bike is in brilliant condition for its age ! My mate has a 2008 cbr100rr and the rust is unreal. !
For reference. I paid less than that for my mint condition 2010 and that had an Akra exhaust and an HM race dash.
