Stopped in at the local garage to pick up the new tail end panels for the R1, that got scratched by the tail pack luggage on the recent trip trip to the TT Anyway, this dude turn up on a red bike and parks it next to my blue one. While he was in the shop I sneaked a couple of pictures. Not sure I like it to be honest - if Mercedes made bikes it would probably look like that. Also it is not very gentlemanly ...... See what you think...... A bit closer look, while no one was looking.....
Wouldn’t say Mercedes but it does look like the Audi concept bike from a couple of years ago, which of course Ducati are owned by
It's 'gentlemanly' enough for me! I'm not a fan of those 'hidden' exhausts though. I'd have to put a 'real' one on it!
I look at those front fairings and think Great White Shark! Love the clean back end, somehow Ducati make their bike look completely different to everyone else's, sometimes it is almost like they invented motorbikes on parallel to the rest of the world.
Agreed it is a stunner - but just too flashy for me - to conspicuous if that makes sense. Not really a flashy person but that is not the bike's fault. I would feel more at home on a 1100 RS V4 Factory, or the R1M, or even the H2.
Sorry Mattie but your not a flashy person and name 3 bikes like that? R1m full of carbon, rsv4,factory no less! Full carbon with wings? H2, black chrome paint and supercharged? I can’t stop laughing mate
Now that is a cool looking bike - that is stealth, the opposite of flashy. The Ducati has the name written all over it - Flashy Ducati Corse written in big letters - the H2, you hardly even know that it is a Kawasaki - hardly even read the name on the tank. That is a cool looking bike and much rather have that than a Ducati
I have never liked the h2 and I have always wanted a Ducati Borrowed an 848 for 3 months and loved it looks and all Now I love the 848 shape but think that new one looks like it’s got something missing from the back and been hit up the ar## very hard
I think that H2 is a real 'love it or hate it' kinda bike. To me, it's all over the place, design wise, with not one flowing line on it. Again, the Transformers comes to mind, and a name I had though belonged only to Yamaha's MT10. However, I have not seen one in the flesh so perhaps could change my mind.
It is difficult to say why you like something and not something else, which might even be something similar. That H2 is "dark" which has got its own appeal, and I like that very much. Nothing against Ducati - I would like the Monster 1200 R. But given a choice between that new Corse, and this Speciale - i woud rather have the Speciale. They are both Ducati V4 but they are quite different in style The new Fireblade SPs are nice looking bikes as well It is difficult to explain why some things click and others do not...
Well beauty will always be in the eye of the beholder, and thank god, it would be a boring world if we all liked the same thing
It looks amazing. These lines in design and this color ... Breathtaking! Also I am a fan of this and the previous pani 1199/1299
