Hi guys, I'm a racer. Today when on track I hit a false neutral going from 4th to 5th and couldn't get a gear! Eventually I got it in 4th and nursed it into the pits. Put it on the paddock stand and went through the gears, again hitting false neutrals. I eventually got it into 5th, but now its stuck there and I cannot get out of gear completely, I have tried everything.

Been told various things but most likely a bent gear selector, any advice on how to change this and is it a hard job etc?

Hoping it's not the gearbox as it's done 4k and is 2015 so relatively newish

Gearboxes are one of those things where you either know your way round them or, like me, leave them to the pros.
What I do know is that the Blades use a cassette type, so the whole thing can be removed for inspection relatively easily.
I wouldn't rule a fault out based on the mileage though as much of that will be track miles.

Thanks for the reply, spoke to my mechanic and hes going to get a look at it on Wednesday for me (currently on holiday).

I didn't know they were the cassette type so that's gave me a huge peace of mind! Lot of guys up the track saying it could be a full new gear box required and I would be as well with a new engine!! Just making it alot worse for me, hopefully it's a relatively easy fix without going too deep in my pocket. Thanks for the reply

Not all of them are cassette type gearboxes. Depends on model year!

Spoke to another guy late last night and he said they weren't cassette. Guess I'll just need to wait and see what my mechanic says... fingers crossed

Could be the earlier ones then. I know mine are. Not sure how that affects the repair to yours though.

Thought they stopped cassette gearboxes after the rr7. Could be wrong though, not that uncommon I know

If that's the case then I won't be replacing the track Blade then
