USB / CHARGER

Hello,

I'm thinking of getting a USB/CHARGER /volt meter for my RR6 2006.

I'm Just wondering if anyone has installed one before and where have they put it.

I was going to put it under the Pillion seat but there's no room.

Or does anyone know where the best spot is for it

Huh? No room under an RR6? What the heck you got under there? It's a massive space!

 

I put mine here, handy for powering my phone while mounted in its case or a usb battery etc.
Connected to the headlight circuit with this little extension plug thus not damaging the original wiring.

 

I'm was use to a RRT compartment which you could fit your week's shopping in there.


I'm wanting to properly fasten it in but I can't because of the exhaust

 

I used a fused connection to the battery (much like an optimate) to a SAE adaptor then optimate SAE to usb port. Tied it all up and fits under my RR7 pillion seat great. Plenty of cable as I have a go-pro hero 5 on the tail facing backward obviously and I can charge it and my phone under the seat with no problems.

 

I got this kit from eBay a while back to charge my camera batteries mainly and the phone on the odd occasion. Inline fuse and connects straight onto the battery. Sits perfectly under the pillion seat on my RR6.
