Found out a couple of days ago that my Aunt died on the 27th of December. That means I have to go to Harrogate on the 21st of January for the funeral. But the real concern is that with my Aunts passing, that now makes me the oldest member of the family on my mothers side Now that makes me feel old..... Very old. So word of warning, if you live north of the wash, stay indoors as it is guaranteed that it will rain or snow as it always does when I go north
I'm assuming you were already the oldest man in you're family, same as me. double jepody.Sorry to hear of you're lose.
On my fathers side, my cousin in Australia is older by 1 year. Oldest man, but until Xmas, not the oldest person...... Now, both titles apply
Condolences TC. On the brighter side Harrogate is a pretty nice place to visit in the North and the weather has been glorious today.
On the plus side you only get to be the oldest by lasting long enough to beat the competition. Now just need to keep the title against all the other challengers!
It is indeed a nice place. Although my favourite is Pately Bridge which is where my mother was born and raised, not to mention some of the best riding roads I have ever encountered. My Grandparents owned Glasshouses for many years, and so it will be nice to pop up and pay my respects to my Mum, My Uncle and my Grandfather who are all laid to rest there.
