I'm looking at replacing the chain & sprockets on my 2014 model, going to stick to 530 chain and go 1 up on front sprocket and 1 down on rear. I'm planning on using it mainly on track and see how I get on with it. I came accross this on ebay, seemed rather cheap, any advice? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-CB...ld-X-Ring-Chain-JT-Sprockets-Kit/172859699200
It'll feel like a new bike when you do that, although I'd start with +2 on the rear. I keep forgetting what I'm running, but for my track bike I've settled on 46 rear & 15 on the front.
That chain isn't designed for a thou'. If you want DID you need a ZVM-X. JT sprockets are cheap and heavy, more suited for doing many miles on the motorway. I just changed the CnS on my track bike. I called AR Racing and had a chat with someone who advised on the best for me and my needs. (Just my opinion for what it's worth)
I wouldn't trust eBay with something like that, probably counterfeit. Easy to put any old chain in a counterfeit box. It wouldn't be my choice. Yes, I know i always harp on about not trusting eBay but having been caught out twice, one is always sceptical.
Thanks, I gave AR racing a call, turns out they sell the same kit but with Renthal sprockets, said the chain will be fine. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Renthal-...667824?hash=item5426b54930:g:U1MAAOSwT5tWKKJx
