    Ideally after a used, can’t justify the Healtech price at the minute, I don’t want a cheap Chinese job so was hoping for a second hand healtech or similar :)

    Now this is something, my cousins did get right!

    I have a cheap Chinese one (and a gear indicator)

    I paid £21.00 from E of the Bay delivered. Took a month to get to me, but really well made and easy to fit (plug and play literally). To set it, you just ryde down a road and upshift when the unit prompts you to. Then just ryde. Sorted.

    I've had it on for three months, trouble free so far, so only time will tell its fate or not.

    So something to not overlook in my opinion.

    Just my ten pence worth!

    Chin

    It’s purely to know how many gears I need to knock down to power wheelie and pull the local skirt Mark :D

    Doing without is a good way of improving your mental arithmetic!

    1000rpm = (approx)

    7 mph in 1st
    9 mph in 2nd
    11mph in 3rd
    13mph in 4th
    14mph in 5th
    15mph in 6th

    So, if you're doing 12,000rpm and the speedo says 180mph then you're in 6th, likewise if you're doing 1,000rpm and the speedo says 7mph then you're in 1st. Simples (ish)

    Even simpler if you let a gear indicator do the sums for you. One less thing to worry about.
