    Hi Martial, welcome.

Is it worth the effort? Not better to just remove the ABS from the 2012 entirely?

yes, but wanted to keep or improve the abs, got steel flex and brembo m4 brake calipers and rcs 19. but I think the abs of 2018 is much better and clearly much easier.

I'd say you are in a very unique position, probably only rivaled by someone wanting to add ABS to a non-ABS bike. Are you having problems with your 2012 ABS?

I find the abs from 2012 just bad. It weighs a lot more than that from 2018 takes up a lot more space, which makes the rear not look nice anymore. to the most why i want to change it when i was driving very fast on a wavy road the front wheel blocked. It was very dangerous.

Just an idea....why don't you remove the ABS and see how you get on with it like that? The ABS removal is well documented here and you'll find info a lot easier to come by than trying to upgrade to the Bosch system. With M4s, RCS19 and braided lines you've got everything you could want from a non ABS setup.

I've now had two ABSs, both with the ECU deactivated.
Haven't modded the current one (yet) but previous had braided lines, polished SS brake pistons and RCS - and couldn't be happier.!

However, I would say your main challenge would be places mount the new power units and modulators, hopefully the design has changed so the location behind the radiator is no longer an option!
