Warm soapy water to wash fairing and tank. Leather off. Polish with Mer or Meguiars Ultimate. Clean chain and sprocket with paraffin and soft toothbrush then lube. Wheels WD40 to remove any lube etc then Mr Sheen. Wet toothbrush to get into all those awkward to get places Couple of bottles or Peroni/Jupiler to make the cleaning regime more enjoyable.
Decrease chain. Then spray pre cleaner on and rinse. Spray tar remover on and rinse. Spray iron fallout on and rinse. Then spray snow foam all over and rinse. If needed clay bar and re snow foam and rinse. Then wash using 2 buckets. Start at top and work down. I use a seperate wash mitt for bottom,engine and wheels. Then I polish,wax and seal body. This is my 17 year old 600rr that I did the above on.
Go out for a ride, come back home put bike in garage, 2 weeks later go out for a ride, come back home put bike in garage, oil chain Sometime after go out for another ride, come back put bike in garage.. and so on following the normal service routines of course. After 3 years of this routine trade your bike with 1375 miles on it for a new one, but wait until it's pissing down with rain so it looks grouted due to the weather so then let dealer clean your unscratched pristine bike that has never seen a dirty contagious wash mitt or sponge using the one, two or three if your really anal bucket wash. Then you pick up your new bike in the rain pay £40 ask the dealer to deliver it with you having a lift home !! Works for me
The problem I have with your plan, which is ingenious, is the rainy day to part ex your bike would have to be biblical to shift or hide 3 years of dead baked on crusty flies off the front. I bloody hate flies !
Ah you got me but we don't have many flies down here in Cornwall overrun with arachnids ….plenty of seagulls though, but most of them are at the local chippys dive bombing the customers.

Hi all, After experimenting for years on several different bikes with several different cleaning methods with lots of cheap and also expensive bike cleaning products, i have found the cheapest and best way to maintain and clean your bike. Clean chain with parrafin or wd40. Wipe away excess. Hose bike down, no pressure washers. 2 bucket method of cleaning with a micro fibre cloth, Warm water and meguires gold class shampoo. Then rinse. Dry bike thoroughly with a pet dryer from ebay /amazon. Very important. Never put your bike away wet. Wipe down your wheels with a microfibre cloth and a small amount of degreaser / chain cleaner / brake cleaner. Important; do not use wd40 on your wheels. Lubricate your chain using 80w90 gear oil lightly. Lacquered and painted bikes; polish using multi surface polish and a microfiber cloth. Matte paint bikes like my blade; only use polish on the screen, head lights and lights.
