Looking into this to protect my nose cone and other areas, https://www.rg-racing.com/browsebike/Honda/CBR1000RR_Fireblade/2008/SCPHON005/#prettyPhoto Any reviews from people on here? Or other suggestions? cheers
Wanted to protect paint on tank but wasn't going to pay stupid money for paint protector set. Paid a few quid for an A4 sheet of the stuff and cut my own, worked perfectly! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/362928898579
Is that stuff any good? I've got a roll of 3M stuff, but it's not so transparent over darker colours.
Put it on the Black tank of my street triple to protect paint where my knees rub it - barely notice it and been on nearly three years. Took a couple of goes to get just right, but it's so cheap it didn't matter. Just patience and try out an easy test piece first - can easily take back off
Just for nose cone I’ve always gone for a motografix number board. Does change the look though obviously. Know people that have used the second skin stuff and swear by it though
Another vote for invisible patterns, applied to my RRC Blade just last week. Lovely deep gloss, quite tricky to apply but worth the effort.
They are a pleasure to deal with, they sent me another nose cone pattern after my several attempts of trying to get it to fit, and will send individual patterns, and even bespoke patterns if you ask.
I have also covered things like my display screen, It would have been easier with pre cut parts but I just bought a sheet and cut out my own
I put Ventureshield on my bike from Chipguard when it was new. It cost about £90 5 years ago and is now looking a bit tired in places. Definitely money well spent although a couple of large rocks managed to penetrate. Does anyone know if invisible patterns do individual parts?
