Hi guys, was looking for some input please.

I want to change my screen on my blade ( pic attached)

    I'm torn between 3 screens:

    McGuinness screen
    Zero Gravity touring screen
    Zero Gravity corsa screen

Never been on track , all road riding ( will change that soon)... comfortable hitting a decent speed however having issues with wind buffering and a sore neck :(

Plus can anyone recommend where I can get the repsol decal that fits across the screen.

    Any feedback would be appreciated

I wouldn't get a touring screen, not unless you ride a Pan European!!:D

As for zero gravity...... I've had one before but only because it came with the bike. Seriously overpriced is what I think about them.

MRA are by far the best quality and designed screens I've had, which is 3 in total. Priced way more competitively as well, also used by top teams in Motogp and wsbk! ;)

Regarding the Repsol sticker, try ebay but you might struggle there. My original screen forms part of my paint scheme but I lost the top of my '1' when I put the MRA on:( screens the best though:)

Couple of options re the Repsol decal, cheaper option is not specific for your bike but I'm sure you could make it fit. There's quite alot on ebay, you'd just need to measure it up!

Thanks for the feedback, I'm gonna check mra screens right now:)

I've got a friend who's just took on a sign making and printing business, I'm gonna ask him too if he can do my repsol section.... if he can I'll get him to do your 1 section and I'll post it out to you. :)

What do you make of the McGuinness screen?

I've got the Zero Gravity Corsa on my blade which is the same colour and year as yours. I'll take some decent pictures for you tomorrow. I really like it, it's a really nice height and made the bike so much more comfortable.

I bought the Repsol sticker from Honda, it was a total rip off at about £25 IIRC. I cocked up though, I think Honda do the sticker for their standard and high screens. I bought the sticker for the standard screen, I think the sticker for the high screen would have fit the Zero Gravity Corsa much better. No way I could face another £25 to make it "perfect" though.

If your friend can do the stickers I'd be interested in buying a couple please.

MRA are the best imo. A taller screen helps keep the wind off you but the flip side is theres no wind to take body weight of your arms. Buffeting could possibly be your helmet.

That's really good of you and if he can do it...... Big thanks!! No pressure though :D

Regarding the Mcguiness screen, can't comment as I've never had one. All I can say is I've always thought they look a little too high.... Almost verticalo_O

Here's what my one should be like on the standard screen;)

The John McGuinness TT screen really makes a difference. It stands out from the rest and is great for tucking into to get out of the wind and keep the bugs off ha ha!

Thanks for all the feedback guys, think I'm gonna go with a zero gravity touring screen in clear, might do the corsa in light smoke... will pick my mates brains regarding stickers, but that's he leat of my issues as the bleeding thing just died on me ....I think it's a rectifier issue bit it's been a crappy Sunday:( broke down and had to get recovered.

Shit mate, that's not good. What happened exactly? Is the battery completely dead?

Urghhh! I've just had to replace my stator and rectifier. Honda do 3 different sizes of stators regardless of year manufacture....so make sure you measure up if you have to replace. My bike was registered in 2009 and a 2009 stator wouldn't fit nor a 2010 part.

Stator rewinds are very good, they're refurbishing mine as we speak. An OEM stator from Honda is £400 and £200 for the resistor. I couldn't get these parts from Honda until October due to covid restrictions.

Went for a ride out, all good for about 40ish miles, was doing a decent speed in 4th gear and the thing just died, no power, nothing , wouldn't respond to the throttle at all , pulled over, tried restarting it and wouldnt restart , waited over 2 hours for recovery and he reckons it's a regulator rectifier , although I'm a bit surprised at 5.5k miles and 4 year old.... so not a happy bunny , :(

That's exactly what happened to mine. I doubt itl be the battery but ask them to check the stator as one of the cells maybe burnt out. What year is the bike mate?

When you tried to restart was the starter motor turning? My 2015 blade had a moment like that, was going along fine then just stopped. I pulled in and tried to restart but it wouldn't fire even though the starter was turning. I could only put it down to the kill switch which I had used whilst queuing in traffic a few miles earlier. I flicked it a few times and eventually it restarted. Once home i cleaned it out and vowed never to turn the bike off with it ever again. Since that day I've had 4000 trouble free miles.

It's a 16 plate on a 66 reg.. the recovery las checked the battery and it was showing 12v.... what was the diagnosis with yours? What years your bike? And is this a common problem with them?

The starter ticks over but it doesnt fire up the engine, the thing is I've not used my kill switch at all. I did flick it off and on a few times when I was trying to restart the bike after I had stopped to see if it was that but nothing..... I'm gutted cause I had this ride planned out ....I'm hoping it's an easy fix and I can get the bike running for next weekend
