Thanks for your reply. I've gone for a set of sport attack 4s as sport attacks are a tyre that I've wanted to try for a long time, even before I got my fireblade. Rosso 3's were a close contender though so I may try a pair next time. Thanks for the tips on the t30 and the angel gt. I had looked at both them but I will stay clear of they're no good.
I've heard nothing but good things about them. I like to try different tyres and brands, hopefully the sport attacks will be as good as the reviews say. No matter what, They've got to be better than the oe dunlops. Ive tried posting a photo of them but the forum won't let me for some reason.
Have a set of Anget GT's on for the last 2000 miles & reckon I;ll get at least 5 or 6000 out of them. Can't fault them so far. Have only been out in the dry. No slipping or spinning & no chicken strips.
Gouldy T30 was not a bad tyre, but 2 up full luggage on the ZZR they didn't last our trip round the Alps & Italy, they wore right across the board and didn't square off, but then in the Alps if you square a tyre off get a car ! That were the GT Angel was fitted soon as I got home it was taken off. Expensive mistake gave no confidence but maybe having a T30 front didn't help, Fitted S21's on it now due to we don't do a lot of mileage in UK liked them on the 1299, and they were very cheap.
Conti sport attack 4's fitted today. Ive only done about 10 miles on them back from the tyre place but they feel much better. True test will be Sunday when I go out to scrub them in properly. I tried to upload a photo again but the file is too large for the forum apparently?
Ok so I have gone for a set of bt 0-16 with a 55 rear £170 fitted on loose wheels I will put up some feed back soon
I've been on them for a few years now and have lots of confidence in them , Went out this afternoon just 15 miles. soon scrubbed in . The 55 profile certainty makes the bike drop in easier (first corner I thought it was going to fall in ) but any set of new tyres will always feel great after bold used and out of shape ones the rear has done 3400 miles the front 6500
I’ve got Bridgestone BT-016 On my ZX-7R, were pretty cheap from M&P. I’ve got Dunlop Sportsmart TTs on my blade, i’d recommend them if you want something good for reasonably fast (inters) level trackdays but also good on road too if you use your bike for both. Warm up pretty quick on track without warmers and have been great on the road, though to be fair don’t do much wet weather riding.
