What needs to be in the tail-bag in your daily ride, including day-trips?

    • small Windex spray (glass cleaner)
    • Terry cloth
    • Tools

    • Tire pump:
      • Small electric tire pump (lithium battery powered)
      • Hand pump : make sure it is high volume
    • Small flash light
    • Motorcycle external cover

If I'm on the cbr then.. credit card + aa card.

If I'm on the KTM and have a bit more room I'll take tyre patches and a pump.

jeez credit/debit card and phone in my pockets that's it.
If I'm on the beemer with the top box I might put some coffee in it.
I keep a spare of earplugs under the seat.
    That's it.
I've got Rac cover so that's all I need.
I really couldn't be chewed carrying all that crap with me just go out for a ride.

I just put the following under thw seat. Spare ear plugs, wet microfiber cloth in a plastic bag to clean visor, dry cloth to dry it. House keys (so they don't stab me in a crash).
Plus I carry credit card in pocket for fuel etc and mobile phone too.

As a rule I just have phone and wallet in my jacket pocket and some loose change in the trouser pocket, a lot of places you stop these days want to charge you a few pence to access the loo. I don't like carrying any luggage on the bike itself and prefer to travel light. A couple of times I've gone to work on it and just whack my laptop in a rucksack but that's very rare.

That said I was on a bike related course last Thursday and had to take my own lunch so got one of those little bags that go round your waist. Only looked small but managed to squeeze in:

    x2 Scotch Eggs
    x2 Pork Pies
x6 Mini packs of fridge raiders
    x2 Mini Snickers
    x2 Brunch Bars
    x3 Bottles of Water

Lunch of kings and once on the bike I forgot I was wearing it.

multitool with allen key, 10 and 12mm spanner, and emergency puncture repair kit under the pillion seat

nothing else really other than cash/phone in the pocket

lately since the whole corona virus thing i have been carrying my trusty thermos with hot coffee and pack lunch before the cafe re-opens

ohh maybe a jumper over the leathers in the backpack if I know I am going to be out late

Debit card and phone. Although if anyone can recommend a waist bag preferably water proof I may be tempted to pack something for lunch.

A bag of tools based on the OEM kit and a disc-lock under the seat hump,
cards including cash, AA and IAM<smug> in my pockets.
The phone Bluetooths into my helmet as does the GPS.
I love to mention that I'm carrying Nitro-Glycerine... but, sadly, only in micro-gram medical doses. 8(

I had a waterproof pocket in my jacket. Held water brilliantly and drowned the alarm remote.

Best thing is a ziplock bag inside whatever back you're using or a roll top bag bungeed on the bag of the bike.

A can of coke and a nice compact Nikon camera.
The pocket of my nice 'game keeper' totally all weather jacket I use for falconry.
I must have bumped into something.
I put my hand in for the camera and it's 3-4cms deep in coke.
The poor Nikon didn't make it 8(

In the under seat storage, a very small tool kit based on the OEM, and in the trusty GIVI bum bag......phone, card, bit of cash, earphones that I can plug into my phone/gps if I get lost......which happens from time to time :D

    That's about it!;)

Literally nothing, sometimes I don't even take the phone, just a card for if I need to get fuel. I should really up my game on this one :D
