I recently replaced my radiator on my blade as it wasnt cooling down properly and causing the bike to overheat. Anyway now that its replaced i keep getting the warning light coming on with the FI code. if i turn engine off then back on it clears but comes on again a few miles later. I took it into my local garage and they said it was the servo motor error code,on inspection the previous owner had taken the motor out and taped up the cables. I bought a servo buddy to stop the error appearing again but this hasnt solved the problem. Does anybody know what else could be the problem as ive had the bike 5 years and never seen the FI light come on before, its only started since i changed the rad.. The bike hasnt lost any performance its just annoying. Was thinking of buying a second hand servo motor to put back in but seems pointless as its not the stock exhaust can thats on it its a yoshi aftermarket one which came with the bike. Thanks for reading and any help would be appreciated

Could do with knowing what the Fi code is. Can you count the sequence?

ok. Lets deal with the servo motor. Tying up the servo motor will not cause an error as it's still connected and just won't open/close the exhaust valve, this is ok and was exactly how my track RR6 was when I bought it. If there has been no change after fitting the servo buddy then then you can safely leave that part.

On to the current fault. It's possible that the garage picked up on the previous servo fault if it was stored in the memory, but Fi code 25 is the Knock Sensor. This will appear when the bike has been ran and the sensor detect something amiss or if the sensor is faulty and the ECU decides there's a fault there after the bike is running.

Either way my guess is that your chasing an old servo problem, but the problem is in fact the knock sensor, so I'd look in to replacing that next and checking the wiring at the connector.

I think the exhaust servo error code is 35.

“its only started since i changed the rad.”

I’d be inclined to check to see if you disturbed the knock sensor wiring when you did this.

Noo don't let it be the last time you fix things by yourself, it's all part of the learning process. When you can fix things by yourself it feels so much better!
