Eventually got round to installing the booster plug tonight. Not sure if it will be instantly recognisable, the acclaimed change, so needs a run out. Nice to try something different. On the bike today, not too far, incase of issues. It felt slightly better on throttle response and gear change. Ill keep it install. Next gadget over suspension. Bought already.
I've just fitted the same battery today and the weight difference is unreal. Cranked up alot quicker too. Very happy with it.
Appreciate the offer. Been out twice this week; Tuesday to E.Isley (on A34) then Hungerford followed by Bath. Home the long way via New Forest then Thursday to Northampton. Decided to try just having G.Maps playing in my earphones - phone in jacket. All worked out so have hit on a cheap option that suits me
My new tank cover came today. We shall now wipe away my messed up paint touch-ups where a cheap tank protector mangled the paint and I didn't realise it was ABS. We can also forget the day I stepped back onto it and broke one of the lugs and cracked it at the back.. I wasn't going to bother until I happened across exactly my paint scheme (after market from China) on Amazon of all places. That gave me a manufacturer and google did the rest. They didn't have any of that batch left but £110 to make, paint and ship then £21 yesterday to get it into the country. All in 8 weeks from when I sent the money.
Sticky and better value than Pirelli Diablo!!!! Great on track and road, very predictable and instill a lot more confidence than either the Michelin’s or Metzler I had fitted previously. Don’t know what the wear will be like but it can’t be worse than Pirelli ( which I have on the MV Agusta). Will report back after a few mor Kms.
Just received my Shido battery today. It's ridiculously light and almost feels like it's fake. Putting it on when the rain stops here. New Regulator Rectifier is already on. Chin

Took the Arrow off and reinstated the standard exhaust minus the servo cables. While I love the Arrow I won't be using the bike much until next year and looking to do a few track days on it and it'll never pass the 102db sound level at my preferred track, Oulton. While I was at it I thought I'd try a little trick i came across on you tube. Elastic band around the servo wheel to prevent it over rotating and burning itself out. I was going to do it when I fitted the arrow but didn't bother at the time. We'll see if it works, better having a bit of tension on it than nothing if you're leaving the servo in place.
Said goodbye to the Blade on Friday my MT10 went in for Servicing and the results were not good. The suspension was in a pretty bad state as well as a few other bits. I’d already replaced a radiator this year and done a valve clearance so had spent well over a grand. Weighed it up and I can’t justify commuting on it anymore, both petrol and the servicing costs. It’s 55k Miles now and the wear and tear is really starting. I got PX quotes on it and the blade, and there honestly wasn’t much between them. For me, the MT10 is a more versatile bike, I can take that touring and physically it’s more comfortable to ride so the decision was made. I’ve now got a NC750X DCT as my commuter, and ive got to say. I wish id done it sooner. The DCT makes life so much easier, it’s comfortable, it’s practical and the fuel economy (even though it’s still being run in) is phenomenal. Heartbreaking saying goodbye to the blade but for now, needs must.....
How are you finding those @Muffking ? I'm due replacements but not sure what to go for. I commute on mainly straight roads, so find hard-centre Bridgestones pretty good, even if a bit wheelspinny! How are these Metzelers lasting and do you think they have the wet grip of Michelin Pilot 4/5?
I had PR4's before and these Metzeler M9RR's are fine in the cold. I don't do much in the wet, but I did want tyres that stay soft in the cold. I've not done enough miles to tell what the wear rate is like, but I did have the M7RR predecessors before and they lasted 2 years.
Tested out the new ABBA stands fitting kit, so she’s up on that at the moment with both feet off the ground.
It's going in for the 600 mile service tomorrow. I gotta say, for all the crap I was giving it (when a colleague got one), I'm ready to eat humble pie! The NC is perfect for commuting (doi!). It's got a very comfortable riding position and the DCT is very welcome when I'm in town, no more clutch faffery. And then when I do want to make some progress and manually shift gears, I've got the buttons on the left bar which are effectively paddle shift but on a bike. Comfortable and smooth. As I'm currently using it in the standard mode, it bangs up the gearbox in no time so you end up doing 30mph in 5th gear, as such there is hardly any engine braking (unless you shift manually). It's a slightly differnt style of riding, theres also 3 "sports" riding modes as well which have slightly longer gearing so you get a bit more of a engine braking effect. I've not really tried them yet though as I'm quite enjoying the standard mode. Fuel economy is phenomenal. I'm averaging between 65-70MPG at the moment and my petrol cost has quite literally halved since I've started using it. The storage compartment where the Tank would normally be is also quite handy, I don't keep my lid in there but the other stuff like tyre puncture kit and the stuff I carry with me wherever I go on a bike all goes in there. Of course I miss the blade, lots! But the grief has definitely been eased with the pleasant surprise that is the NC
I need new tyres, think im gonna go for S22 Bridgestones I also need to wash it, but I hate washing it. thats what I should have done to my bike today
