Morning all.. im looking at a new bike purchase. has anyone had any dealings with The superbike factory? I've looked online and it seems to be either end of the scale. If it goes well then its all good. If there's an issue then they are unhelpful and difficult to communicate with it. Have any of this group bought a bike from there ? If so how was your experience of it?
Mine came from there. They answered some questions, I liked it and paid so they sent me the details so I could insure it before it arrived. It came off the truck, I checked it over, as described, we traded banter, I signed. They left. I taxed it, read through the manual looking for gotchas and took it out for a spin that afternoon. No problems to solve so, basically, nothing to report.
They pile them high and sell them low. There are some rotters within their stock by all accounts. No first hand experience but have heard enough reports to say you have to be careful. There will be some decent bikes on offer though within all their bikes purely because they have that many.
Me too. I bought my bike from them last year, but picked it up in a van with a mate. Really nice people to deal with, however, I don't think they honoured what they said, i.e. the point checks and it definitely wasn't valeted or properly washed for that matter (but who cares, I don't wash it either!). But overall, well happy. I bought mine online (paid £500 deposit by phone and the offset when I got there). Me being based in Harlow, and them in Macclesfield; they sent me a ton of close up pictures of the bike, which totally reflected the condition of the bike when I went to pick it up. They are definitely the cheapest online, as someone there checks the web daily and makes sure their prices more competitive. The churn in that place is immense; they have about 6k bikes there if I recall properly. I don't even know how they find a bike as they're not placed by cc, brand, or type of bikes really, just looks like a scrap yard. There are very mixed views online about this place, but I've had a good experience with them. A year plus on, and I too have no major problems with my bike - touch wood... Looks clean, and a good price for what it is. I would go and look at it first though. Are you local to them?
I like the SX. That one looks tidy and you wouldnt imagine has had a hard life. The new ones are really nice aswell and really good value.
I would go and look first. Compared to others its alittle too cheap ..which sets the alarm bells ringing. But it could be a gem .
I bought my 2009 HRC 50 year anniversary from there. Luckily for me it was a one owner with 6k miles on it. Spotlessly clean and never had any issues in the 2 years I had it. This was when it was in the old unit in Macclesfield, much smaller scale.....now its mahoosive and the is an obscene amount of bikes in there, it made my head hurt there was just so much to try and concentrate on. I wouldn't buy online without viewing personally, pictures can be deceiving. What might look like a stunner could be a tatty unloved piece of shit in the flesh.......and they often are!! They also have this weird queuing system to view a bike. You pick the bike you want to look at and report to the desk where they take your name and number, then they tell you they'll ring you in 20 minutes or so when someone is available to show you round the bike. (And no you can't sit on bikes unless you've booked in at the desk) Anyway I wanted to look at a Dosudoro, I booked in and wandered round for half hour, that became 45 mins before I sacked it off. They eventually rang me but unfortunately by this time I was sat in the drive through KFC near my house .......which is a further 45 minutes away from Macclesfield!!! So I told him......can't come now mate im sat in the drive through at KFC Oh right he said Seriously though go look for yourself......avoid disappointment
Think I had a run in with them a few years back. Bought a seat off them on ebay, they sent the wrong one and got real arsey about it, even more so when I put the review up.
No it was just before covid, there's giant posters up on the walls of the entrance inside saying this is what you do.....kind of a three steps to your dream bike type selling point.
P/x my 2011 blade there for my Ducati, also sold by them. got minimal p/x for it, (£3,500) as it had 40,000 miles. Tried to pull a fast one when they picked it up saying the clutch was noisy and there was an oil leak. Definitely no oil leak and the clutch was 100%, told them to fuck off. My blade was looked after and didn’t want for anything, serviced twice yearly by me and mint for the year... they took it in and was sold within a week. the Ducati I bought from them wasn’t cleaned on delivery and after a month I noticed an oil leak. It was the layshaft seal and got it sorted through the warranty I purchased from them. I bought the Duc for £8,500 with every available Ducati extra (£6,000) that the previous owner had put in from Ducati Coventry since new. 18 mths old and 4k Miles. I got a stonking deal from them, So was pleased. My old bike was up for £4,800 , 2011, probable close to £9k spent on it with all aftermarket bits that I left on, plus spares that I gave them. Someone also got a good deal on that, although many would shy away from 40,000 miles. There’s some well rough bikes for sale there, that have been down the road and have dubious miles on them. You’ve really got to look at them to decide if it’s an honest bike or not.
Looked at a bike on the phone and it looked really good put the computer on and then registered my interest so I could watch a video and what a difference, rust everywhere, could not see this on the phone
My boys mate brought a triumph from them and on his first ride it had a water leak. He got it fixed and they paid the bill
