I don’t know about anyone else but I feel picked on I am seeing every film , program and advert with a mixed relationship. Now I might be old and all that But I am really feeling out of place because I am not black or gay And I live in England pay my bills and my taxes. Is it just me and old fashioned If so can I get out?
Sorry but you can't get out as we are in lockdown Understand where you are coming from though, I've basically stopped watching TV now and just do Netflix/Amazon Prime to stay away from adverts. If you are old enough though you can watch childhood TV stuff like V, original BSG and CHiPs on Forces TV which is on FreeView. As for the advertisers, well they are just responding to pressure being exerted on them to be more inclusive, but as usual with many businesses they simply didn't get it and went too far. I won't comment on the media though as they are just using it for Political reasons and to try and portray their view as the only acceptable ones.
Just switch channels to something that suits your preference, job done! Not quite sure living in England and paying your taxes has got to do with your dilemma? I think you are free to leave any time you choose, once the lockdown is over Hope you feel better now
Bazza mate, your spot on, we are going through a liberal led brainwashing exercise to wring the very last drip out of any white British normality. Don’t forget mate the white man is the enemy and the root of all evil in these peoples eyes, the images being portrayed are pathetic in the extreme, they are starting to fuel tensions rather than solve them, as my mate says if you watch TV, read the papers or worse still connect online to the Biased Broadcasting Corp and you had just landed from Mars, you would be shocked if you walked down the street and saw heterosexual white people in the UK. The images portrayed are so far from the actual demographics of the country it’s laughable. So I turn up at Sainsbury’s, and they are supporting pride week, good for them, go to to a Santander cash machine, they are supporting it as well, watch footie on Sky and according to the banner at the top the screen there all game, Black lives matter, yep agree they do, but so do all lives, but have you ever seen any of these organisations have the bollox to promote any colour, not just white, heterosexual family life ? Nah, shit scared to attempt that one, the keyboard warriors on social media would roast them alive, don’t fit their narrative, just glad I’ve done over half my life, it’s the kids being born now in this country that I fear for.
I’ve got loads to offer these days. White, Male, middle aged, heterosexual, computer illiterate, drink booze, I eat meat, in today’s jobs market I am fooked.
I think it’s great that people from all different backgrounds are equally included in today’s society, although I think the media and general tv seems to be forcing the issue a bit too much. The thing that annoys me the most is that you can’t seem to voice an opinion these days without offending someone. Sadly it appears freedom of speech is being eroded at an accelerated pace.
New head of football now told needs to be black, I don't see them looking at football teams and saying there is to many blacks in it, women only company, women only directed film, lets celebrate. black only film, lets celebrate. white male film, let's lock him up. our local school was disciplined for not celebrating diwali, I think all this PC being forced on us actually breeds hate and racism we are not allowed to celebrate being white British but need to celebrate every other minority. I think everyone should be able to celebrate their own culture as long as it does not get forced onto others or goes against the laws of the land as a white British man and I decided to kill my meat as per Kosher / halal, I think food standards would not allow this cruelty. I do eat meat but would like animals to have minimal suffering when the end comes
I find it amusing that the so called cancel culture (I hope my understanding of the terminology is correct) wants to pull down statues of slave traders etc but they are happy for universities, libraries, museums etc that were also funded of the back of such trade are allowed to remain standing. Dual standards as usual
It's bullshit, cant say coloured but can say person of colour Everything is now geared to the minority, I wish we could be more strict about this stuff. If people want to abstain from having their kids in the Nativity, then that's fine, but all the others should be allowed to do it, don't cancel it for everyone And stick your other religious festivals up your hole, I don't give two shits about Divali, Ramadan, Hanakah or whatever else you've got...go enjoy it at home or in your local "community"
The chairman said girls don't like being hit hard with the ball, no shit sherlock, no one does, I have yet to meet a bloke who says it did not hurt, It is just blokes are not allowed to complain. being gay a life choice? He did not say he was anti gay, I am glad I don't have to scrutinise every little word I say in case it upsets the PC mob
Indeed.... Let's get back to the 50's... Only white people with stinky mimsy's and dishpan hands back then... And @Kentblade had begun his eternal quest to ensure Mrs KB had everything a woman could ever need...
The fact they want to bring in laws about offending people actually offends me,you cannot go through life without upsetting or having a difference of opinion with someone its what makes us what we are. As for banning this festival or that or no xmas lights(must be seasonal lights)is just plain bollocks,we in this country have been made to feel being in the minority while gladly welcoming all walks of life and cultures, just imagine going to one of their original countries and asking them to cancel prayer or an event because it offends you and see what happens
Lozzy was right It was my birthday yesterday and my neighbour brought me a bottle of white wine That soon went And my boy brought me a 15 year old bottle of glenfiddich Whist in the middle of this a advert came on for the Steven Larance day How about we have a Lee rigby’s day That all that came in my head Sorry all
I can’t remember what country it is but there is one where if you are a lady you have got to cover your face( might be a blessing lozzy) so why do we put up with all this crap over here. If you want to come here or live here it can’t be that bad so why fu####g change it
Early 90's bunch of us walking around a middle eastern country under strict instructions not to communicate with the women. Black Bat walks past us and in a broad scouse accent went "alright lads." Still laugh about it nearly 30 years later.
