Curious to know what people spend on extras for their bikes.
Don't know anyone who leaves their bike stock.
Got my 2014 Repsol blade last year with these fitted by previous owner(s)
    Racefit exhaust
    Repsol rear hugger
    Rad guard
    Rear bobbins
    Headlight protectors (now removed)
    Tank pad
    R&G Tail tidy
    HEL Brake lines
    R&G frame sliders

Not sure what the above add up to....lets say £1000

    I then added:
    ASV Levers
    Translogic QS
    R&G fork protectors
    Engine case protectors
    €800+

So, would it be fair to say that most would spend upwards of 10-20% on bike value?
I know it all depends what you pay for bike initially.

    That's some list there alright.
I didn't add consumables to the list..ie. tyres, chain & sprockets (therefore, add another £500 to my original list)

Mine was completely stock, so far I’ve added:

    Racefit
    Tail tidy
    Comfort seat
    3 cowls
    Street hooks
    Rad guard
    Reservoir socks
    Small plate
    Chain guard
    Screen
    Cover(S)
    Tail bag
    Tank bag
    Abba stand

I’d say well north of £1000 and I bought the bike for nearly £6k so 20% I reckon

I'm not one for modding my bikes generally.
Havent bought an end can in 20 years.
I do buy tank pads, maybe a rack for my top box if its bike specific and maybe some crash bungs if no cutting needed but that's about it.
I did splash out £4 on some wheel rim stickers for my blade though

Have any of you any images of your double bubble screens? Would you say they're necessary over the standard screen?

Got a project 2007 blade last November and took all the previous owners bling off and returned it to stock - bar the yoshimura Rs5. Went back even to the standard nuts bolts and fasteners! Original bits from fleebay were cheaper than what I sold the aftermarket bits for, so thanks everyone out there for still blinging up thier bikes :)

Try not to spend too much so a lot of my mods were 2nd hand or on offer.

Edited to answer the original question.....quick totting up I'd say I've spent 15-20% of the £10,500 original purchase price....not so bad though as its been little by little since buying the bike new in 2016.

MRA racing screen, a definite must over the standard.

I posted my bike a few posts down but I bought it October time and having ridden it maybe twice I’ve plowed a grand into it already and that’s bearing in mind if didn’t need anything having 5k miles and really looked after.
loads of little bits that quickly add up like carbon, wavey discs, uprated pads, power commander etc etc
I’d still get all my money back inc what I paid for the bike I reckon and if I wanted I could remove most of it anc get plenty of my money back but its all about doing the bike to your own satisfaction for me and cost quickly goes out the window!!

    Heated grips
    Short levers
Everything else I wanted on the bike was fitted when I bought it 7 years ago.

My 2007 came with an aftermarket exhaust (possibly micron) and I've only added things I thought it needed.

    Gilles gear shift support
    Ebay bodywork for track days
    Ebay gear indicator
    KTech fork internals
    KTech shock internals
    Wets on spare standard wheels
    Quick throttle tube
    Hel brake lines

    Not really interested in bling.

Only thing I'm on the look out for is a slipper clutch if anyone has one kicking about.
