I'm going to treat myself to some new levers this year. I'm thinking ASV or Pazzo but with the extra cost for ASVs for what appears to be just some extra finesse in span adjustment I was wondering if anyone had a good reason to spend the extra beer/bling tokens on them?
I’ve used both before in the past. I would sooner have the ASV over the Pazzo. Purely because the quality is slightly better and more adjustable. But if you want my honest opinion I would contact BDS, link below and buy some TWM levers. They are on another level in quality and feel! plus so much cheaper. https://www.bikersdiscountstore.co.uk/brake-clutch-parts-replacement-brake-clutch-levers-pl-135.php
incidently guys can either bring the lever closer to the handle bar? The ones I have seen have a bigger span than OEM when theyare set to minimum
Well tracked down the equivalent levers from a Gixxer using part numbers as my Gixxus isn't on the official list and ordered the TWM levers today from @BikersDiscountStore Thanks for the recommendations.
I got home from work today and these have been delivered. They are excellent quality and look the part. Very pleased.
Don’t say I didn’t warn you.... Wish I was on commission, this is certainly NO plug of any description I will only provide my an honest projective product review on great engineering parts that are worthy and fit to be called high quality motorcycle components. and how I feel it exceeds superior quality and executed on a higher level than most items twice the price!! ..... basically in a nutshell if your after replacement levers then these are right at the top of the totem pole. Even against your big players, Brembo, Gilles, LighTech etc..... trust me I’ve been through a few over the years! These will end up like you more comfortable, affordable and dependable pair of slippers..... Not just any old slippers M&S super slippers I would say don’t take my word for it! But in this case I’m going to say stop fecking around with your Chinese fortune cookie varieties, Forget your 1990 Passo’s that are so horrible and crudely made, and ASV’s are like a toss up between the two, LighTech and Gilles are on a slightly different level but at even more cost! Strada and evotech are again ok but feel cheapish compared to the more upmarket variants....we are just scratching the surface here!!! Ducabike make some proper fancy pants engineering jobbies that modulates at every position and angle, changes ratios fast than a two stroke, a billon colour combos to suit all tastes... around £480 sheets!! even lady flavours. Folding and extending types! Aero cutouts for streamlining, Stummpy, long, short, wide, skinny, .....all areas covered Ok I’m pretty exhausted after getting that off me frazzled nogging head.... So My summery synopsis is.... stop Fecking aroud and just buy some TWR’s ,started life in an engineering company in Europe make levers and parts for WSS and WSB. Then over here with Rich being sole importer at Austin racing , Now under BDS racing logo too. But fundamentally they are exactly the same with just the independents brand name attached. Still great quality, fit, finish and feel, superb adjuster that you can add a remote span cable too, fully serviceable with parts generally always in stock. Full Aero cutout, Fully folding if required, proper length, same as original or slightly shorter....None of this half a bloody lever for a four fingered midget!...They won’t break the bank unlike some.... But last but not least as I’m done with this autobiography about the history of the braking lever ...they feel good under hand, ergonomic, fluid like, purposeful, they don’t wobble about in your hands, they do exactly was it says on the tin..... and look cool as feck...(that’s what she said) and again this isn’t a plug! I will apologise in advance if I have offended anyone with any racist remarks or undermining derogatory comments referring to certain areas of this appraisal. it was my only true intention to keep this to a short but long and sweet conclusion .... I’m pretty clueless really and just winging it..... after all I’m not the messiah of brake levers! I’m just a very naughty boy✌️ Peace......will be prompt in getting my coat on...... Run forest run.......
These levers are basically a brembo, just not branded.Harris also brand these as there own. I had these on my last bike which did 50k miles and not even any wear on the anodising, and to top it off, Mike at BDS is a top bloke to deal with.
