Does anyone know if they make luggage to clip on where the rear seat cowel goes?
After touring in Spain a couple of years ago we are planning to go again as soon as we are able. The roads are so good I plan to take the blade but don’t fancy wearing a back pack for 2 weeks.
What are people using and what’s about?

Didn't someone on here fit a top box on a blade!! I think there is a post somewhere.

For me.. tail pack and tank bag. Although the tank bag does get in the way a bit.

Hepco and Becker do a luggage plate that clips in where the rear seat sits. Not cheap but I have used mine loads and it’s a brilliant bit of kit.

Kriega US30 tail pack and SW Motech tank bag for me - done two-weekers in Spain and Portugal with this set-up. Though I do think the tank bag gets in the way a bit in the corners.

EDIT: looking at it again, I think this is the US20 on the back. I like to pack as light as possible

Kriega tailpack and kriega rucksack (with dry liner) for me - fits everything in for a weeks trip (just remember you can wear your pants for 4 days - inside, outside and back to front!!). No seriously we always take away too much, so just minimise what you need. Can always buy some cheap t-shirts when your get to wherever you are and chuck away some old ones you take with you!

Topbox on Blade.......wasn't the first but twas me that last committed that sacrilege!!
Mine was a three stage set up depending on what one wanted & length of trip or whatever.
    See thread:
"So.....Luggage "Sacrilege" -- one winter project close to completion!!"
It's in the 'General Discussion' segment, sometime towards end of last year.

I go with the Kreiga stuff as well.. however I use two bags a US 20 and a US 10 strapped on top. It just allows me to organise my stuff better. I also have a Renntec sports rack on the rear as it allows me to 'throw my leg over the bike' rather than the one legged hop over it. One draw back with the rack is it has a rear facing grab rail that intrudes into the load deck and has on one occasion rubbed the waterproofing off the dry liner... I will grind that off for my next trip. Ventura do a good rack system..wish I'd got that in hindsight.

yeah I tried this when I was in testing mode but the smaller bag strapped on top didn't inspire me with confidence. Felt a bit wobbly.
Quite like the convenience of the tank bag - snacks / water / Go-pro stuff / power bank / passports / rain-jacket all easily to hand.

What he said. Hepco Becker plate. With an Oxford tail pack bolted to it. So much brilliance. Pretty much identical to the setup the TT travelling marshalls use. Screenshot_20210202-152957.png

It feels wobbly but pull the straps tight and it goes absolutely nowhere!! Problem with tank bags for keeping valuables in is I would worry about leaving it or the pain of carrying it around.. again it's a Kreiga hip bag for those things. I can sometimes thing it's a bit big so for everyday I have a small hip bag. But the bigger one is good for those long foreign trips
