Seems to have been a while since someone has posed the question of which rearsets for an 08+ blade.

Are there any that people here are comfortable using, that doesn't break the bank? I've been searching far and wide and keep being bombarded with anodised chinesium units, with mixed reviews at best, like Area 22, Arashi and Diamond...etc

Not looking for performance parts per se, and couldn't justify paying for Gilles, R&G...etc, and would happily go for any if the above mentioned if they fit the bill.

I just don't like the look of the heavy stock ones.

Following this, haven’t found a set myself yet, was thinking about making my own, but there’s a lot of design work and trialing in it to make it worth my time! Will be interested to hear opinions on what people are using for sure :)

Diamond are supposed to be decent and reasonably priced, Gilles or Lightech are my weapons of choice, I got mine with a discount to soften the blow, but if you're not in a hurry then keep scouring eBay for the odd set that come up? Chinese is a lottery by all accounts, some say they're ok, others have them fall to bits...

Harris are very reasonable and are very well made. Can’t fault them

Diamond ones just used to be re branded Chinese what I understood, dont know if they still are.
PP tuning are best ones I've ever had on a bike , robust and the pegs were super grippy.
Ses were good as well and are British which is a plus.
I have used cheap.chinese ones on a race bike and all ypu have to do is make sure all bolts are lock tited and they were also OK and crashed quite well. Off the top of my head I would say they flexed a little more than branded ones.

What a beaut! They do look alright!
Yeah I'm leaning towards Harris, the super cheap stuff is just a bit too much of a gamble somehow. Though as said @LowSide76 said, they can do the job just fine.

When you say flexed, is that something you notice during road use, or when clambering around on a track?

I would like one also for my RR08 which makes reverse shifting possible without breaking the bank...

I also don't much like the look of the stock ones - mainly because I want them black.
I was planning at some point to find a local place and ask how much it would be to get them anodised to black. Covid put a temporary hold on that for now.

just seen this, yes i had mine powdercoated locally along with the sprocket and rear axle bolt blocks for £50, the guy did a top job and did my wheels too.
on my 600rr i had the pegs ceramic coated and it started to wear off after the first ride, 2 good rides in not a hint of wear yet but when they eventually do wear i'll get them redone, much better in black then silver for me though!
