And that 2.5 years was in almost daily use as a commuter not as an occasional tourer so in my opinion yes, dry bags weren't invented by Kriega they've been around a long time and see the most use in the military and watersports, they're a simple device.
Yea, there's not much to go wrong. Material is comparable, stitching is excellent. The roll top is about the same aswell, my picture isn't the best. I put towels in them and could still roll it over 3+ times. I agree, normally I avoid Chinese copies but realistically Kriegas are excessively priced for what they are in my opinion.
They look pretty good but I guess my concern would be the fastenings? All the buckles and hooks on the kriega bags I have (20 and 10) seem very solid - I certainly wouldn't want a snap buckle, or worse, one of the ali hooks to let go at motorway speeds.
well done. very useful video incidently is the pillion seat the only thing that holds the luggage in place?
Update: Also doubles as a nice waterproof tank bag with a kriega tank harness on the blade and slightly modified with two keyrings to use on a bagster tank cover for my old CBR600F
I stand corrected. It looks like good kit Although the D rings are used for fastening the supplied shoulder straps. I’m not sure they can be used as a rucksack.
It can be used as a rucksack but it's not the most comfortable so I wouldn't want to use it like that for long periods. I just attach one strap and use it more like a crossbody bag when it's off the bike.
