Hi, I had the clucking noise from the front suspension on my then new 15 plate blade. It was coming from the Showa BPFs. Same noise was also reported on the 1000cc GSXRs, with the same front suspension. It a known characteristic. You also mention that when you pull the clutch in to disengage the engine at any speed, the vibes go away- This may sound simple, But have you checked and made sure your chain is not to tight! Apologies if you have.
My brother has a 2007 I could have a go on to see if that's the same, just seems whatever speed I'm at it's when I come off power that the bike vibes. I've got a standard exhaust to out back on now so will try that to see if it's the Akra causing vibes. I've changed the CCT so can be the chain, unless it's stretched or something. Like I say, if this is just a normal characteristic of a Blade then I'll have to think about what I want to do! Appreciate the replies
Good to know about the forks thanks! Learnt yet something else that's new! Yeah chain and sprockets got changed a few weeks back and I've done a few hundred miles since and adjusted yesterday and all is ok on that front.
Just a thought ,does your bike have a Balancer Shaft (I think it does) and maybe an adjustment on that is needed
Don't tell him Alan You'll end up with a bump on your head and shackled in a shed in darkest Norfolk married to his twin sister ( she's the one on the right) to bring fresh genetics in
I wanted to buy his bike for you lozzy. Thought you might like the vibrations PS: can I have my picture back please
Hi I brought a new black edition fireblade on a 17 reg, anyway though I just let you know my forks clunk from the first day I collected it, normally stops after a mile or so,my also vibrates around 5/6000 revs I just think it’s one of those things, you could spend a lot of money on something that normal to that bike, i got mine brand new and that does what you experienced. Just thought it may be of some help.
