Thought you'd like to know what's caused me to jump ship from The Starship Enterblade :D

First new bike I've ever bought. I just reached the stage where I want something a bit more upright. Not ridden it yet. Just hope I don't hate it

    Nice.
Did the same, not the same bike but same desire for an upright ride.
Shame the weather is shit and we’re in lockdown, I bet you’re gagging to get out on it.

Love the look of these. Let us know your first ride impressions when you do get out on it.

I'm super tempted in a Street Triple, or the new Speed Triple when it arrives.

Can't afford a second bike.. so keeping the Blade for now haha!!

Yup. It's torture having it sat there and not being able to get out on it.

Having said that I've been busy adding a few bits and pieces. It's got an Evotech tail tidy and a rad guard so far.

I'm wanting to get a coat of ACF 50 on it while it's still factory fresh. Never used that stuff before so it should be interesting :D

Yeah the Speed Triple was on the shortlist. From the reading I did it seemed to be the sharper, more track-focused option. I was really wanting something more road-biased. I fancy doing a bit of touring and thought that, with a screen on it, the Z900 might be a bit better suited. The reviews say it’s a corker of an engine. Uncharacteristically low-down grunty for an in line 4. I'll let you know how I get on.

It certainly was great value for money with the deal I got on it!

    Cheers.

I test road a Street Triple.. and I can't tell you how much of a good road bike it is. So easy to ride, and fun. Speed I imagine would be the same (I have only sat on one and they have a similar riding position).

Well I've done 350 miles on the Z900 now and I'm very happy with it. I'm doing the owner's manual run in and revving no more than 4k rpm for the first 600 (which is absolutely awful btw :D) so I can only give a partial review. Put very simply it's ridiculously easy to ride. Feels way more comfy and easy to steer than any of the sportsbikes I've had. Took it for a roll down my favourite road on the moors a few weeks back and it was brilliant. If I'd been able to give the engine some welly I think it'd have been every bit as quick as my previous bikes. The wider bars make it ridiculously easy to steer. Feels like riding a BMX after the Blade (even though it's actually heavier).

Overall it feels like a better option for me for the road......which is where I ride it, after all.
