I had an idea a while back and it works quite well…it came to me when I had a few large insect strikes on my visor that smear like a bastard. Anyway my solution was to buy some of those little hand wipes like they give you on the planes, £2 from Amazon for about 100….they work great too, and they’re tiny so you can fit a dozen in your pocket.
821 motor? Fucking cracking one if so. I fully intended to fall in love with the 1200 Multi but the moment I jumped on at 821 Hyper afterwards I could barely stop the grin from splitting my face in two... So I bought one. Hardly the most sensible choice in my biking career but definitely one that brought much pleasure to my time here.
Yes it is the 821, parked next to someone's 1200S. Your Hypermotard must have been a blast judging by the comments in the reviews. I thought the Monster 1200 was a bit much - the 821 much more usable and easier to use more of the rev range than the 1200. It seems to be ready to pull well from about 4,000 revs which is not bonkers fast real world speed - motor bellows and then snarls on the overrun !! It is a lot of fun without having to go bonkers fast real world speed. The 821 cc resulted from the design brief to spread the torque and max power and they ended up with the 821 cc Testastretta motor.
An early morning rendezvous at the infamous Garstang Public Toilets with @Selmer50mark followed by this loop, where we then went our separate ways at Broughton. Not as sunny as had hoped for, but warm and dry, apart from a little low cloud at Chapel-Le-dale (but nothing of concern). thanks for taking point Mark
After a ride out this morning with @Boothman got back home to try to sort out my pesky high rev problem. So off with the tank and out with the fuel pump , checked it over, couldn't find any issues and all clean, so then took off air box top to see if the secondary injectors were working and they seem ok . Spraying fuel in when reving . So went to Glasson Dock for a test ride , seems to be ok . But I don't why
Do you think a fuel line was twisted or such and in taking the tank off and pump out you’ve put it back together better aligned?
I hope so , I gave it 8 runs up n down mile straight and it went up to the red in 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th every time. Breather pipes were ok . fuel line did look kinked !
A right posse of blades....bet that was a cracking sight riding past 2 new ones as well.....by eck you southerners have some money
Yay was out on the ZZR went upto Bristol to see my latest Grandaughter, and the other 2 Grandaughters aged 5 and 3 would not stop climbing all over the thing
Hi, it was from a facebook group - Honda fireblade owners group. Nice bunch, one had a factory sp2, lovely.
Thanks mate, appreciate the info. I'll have to somehow get a link into that should I ever make it back to England for more than a month at a time (which I am seriously hoping to achieve, come September). Probably won't be too easy seeing as I don't have Facebook mind you. Did you post about it here or let anyone know via PM?
